81 FC match before his Test debut. Experience talking.

Selectors must stop selecting batsmen who played only 10-15 FC games.

81 FC matches, 5000+ runs at 39 an inning, 11 hundreds and 29 fifties with a highest of 205. So the NCL is capable of churning out decent players, just need to ensure they're kept busy for most of the year. Great choice Loitta.

this guy have tendency to score high in his first match. he did that in T20

i wonder why he was dropped from T20 after scoring highest run for the team, which was 42 as an opener.

That 6 against Rehman is probably one of the best shot by a Bangladeshi batsman in 2011. As I write, he hits Ajmal for another

His dismissal reminded me of the old Nazim - what a waste. Having said that, I do like what I see and am looking forward to watching him bat in the Dhaka Test.

^ I was just about to post on that topic. That's the only positive from this Test. We've seen the last of Kayes, for a while.

But BC will screw him up by playing him in all versions! I'd let him settle back down again with Tests only first. Let him keep playing this. May be by next year he can start playing ODI.

His List A stats are crap, really don't want to see him in the ODI side any time soon.

If he can see off the new ball like 20-25 overs more often in future what he did in both innings will be very good for us.

Yes but the way Kaedge,Mofiz and even Tamim are playing,we don't have that luxury to keep Nazim away from the ODI squad.
but still early days as we know how BD players perform on their debuts
so let's look forward to Dhaka Test

there's no flashiness to his batting, just sensible stuff. decent temperment and technique as well. sure he'll look clueless on a more sporting pitch against better bowling, but for now he's miles ahead of edge master kayes.

Well done Nazimuddin. He has a mind for Test matches. But please don't let him play in ODI, his List A matches are really bad. Let him just play the Test matches. Like don't let Imrul pay Test matches. Let him just play the ODI

though nazim is basically aggressive, can play strokes, and hit hard he has more success in longer versions.

in shorter version he just cant wait and tries to go gung ho. that why very seldom he survives for a long time. he is always in a pressure as his team wants him to play an aggressive game and score quick

whereas in tests where he has no pressure to play his aggressive game, he can just wait for the bad balls and punish them. and he will not block the bad ball like imrul, rakibul, nafees or in some cases naeem and mahmudullah and junaed

He just played 1 test match, needs to play plenty of international innings before we put a tag on him, afterall he too a BD product like many others.
