Sri Lanka are gonna get Bangladesh'd by the Saffers. Yeah I said it. What Pakistan team is doing to us deserves a new verb.

Form Guide
South Africa - LWDLW
Sri Lanka - DLDDD

So Sri Lanka actually lost only once compared to RSA, but they also haven't won a match in their last 5.

Probable Teams
South Africa - 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Jacques Rudolph, 3 Hashim Amla, 4 Jacques Kallis, 5 AB de Villiers, 6 Ashwell Prince, 7 Mark Boucher (wk), 8 Vernon Philander, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Imran Tahir

Sri Lanka - 1 Tillakaratne Dilshan (capt), 2 Tharanga Paranavitana, 3 Kumar Sangakkara, 4 Mahela Jayawardene, 5 Thilan Samaraweera, 6 Angelo Mathews, 7 Kaushal Silva (wk), 8 Thisara Perera, 9 Rangana Herath, 10 Dilhara Fernando, 11 Chanaka Welegedara

Think Cricinfo describes the pitch conditions perfectly...so why not let them do it here too

Pitch and conditions
The pitch was as green as Pakistan's kit the day before the match so the pace bowlers on both sides will be licking their lips. The weather was overcast for training, with similar conditions expected through the game but no major rain forecast.

I'm gonna be honest, Sri Lanka is one of the most boring teams going around. They just don't excite me.

Looks like Mahela agrees

Overall, I would say we need to back ourselves to be more aggressive and to play the brand of cricket that we are known to play, which is strokeplay and being flamboyant. Sometimes that sort of approach can change the match in a couple of hours. We need to go back to that and we have the capacity to do that.

^ They just lack characters. Besides Maliga (who is not regular) they are all very dull. And the shot dilscoop doesn't excite me anymore

On my scale SA leads the way atm. Eng would br at 2nd, but they aren't consistent, so Ind takes #2, Eng 3rd. Not ranking, but on level of excitement and appeal.

Aus needs a new Lee, NZ needs a batsman that can score 100s, SL needs a lot things, WI needs winners, BD needs performers, Zim needs to play more matches. I don't really follow Pak, but after this series, I've learned a lot about them. They are a very balanced unit, but I just don't see myself staying up late to watch them. (But I'll be watching SA, so I guess I will see them then)

There is always Sanga for SL, still has Mahela, Dillu and Malinga for bowling. They are way way way ahead of BS Bangladesh cricket.

^ I did put them ahead of BD (if you are commenting on my scale). But Sanga is classic and Malinga is a beast. Mahela is just too "bhodro chelay," Dilshan a wannabe. I'd take in form Shak-Tamim-Mash-Nasir over them any day.

Any who, it's started! Lets watch.

What's more annoying Tensports commercials or Russell Arnold's commentary?

O, Kufa or Arnold?

@ Dilshan, a Dilscoop would've been a much better choice of shot selection..

Clear sky, bright sun, green grass, a pair of fast bowlers opening the day. Man!

Now, see how Sanga, Mahela and few others at low take them to 250+ mark, or atlleast playing out lots of overs, unlike BD.

Sanga is chilling in the dressing room, he and Dilshan are the dismissed batsmen.

SL 20/2.

Tharanga looks to have decided "I can't hint the short ball, so I'll let the ball hit me" He's alread been struck 2/3 times.

SL succumb to the South African pace attack - 180 all out

-Matthews top scorer with 38, Mahela, Tharanga and Samaraweera also getting into the 30s, but nothing else of note.

-Philander with 5
-Steyn with 4(from just 10 overs)
-Leggie Tahir with the remaining wicket.
