Default Australia v New Zealand

Just like I had some high hopes for SA v Aus series, I have some high hopes for this series too. Even with less fire-powers and always being the underdogs to the Great OZs, the Kiwis managed to pull of many great stunts in the past. Now that both sides are some what equal, this surely will be a great series. And plus, I won't have to stay up late to watch it.

*Another series to look out for some upcoming talents.

New Zealand have been disappointing in recent times. I sincerely hope they pick up their guns, 'cause a trans-tasman battle is always a treat!

Australia are at a disadvantage with all the injuries, so it'll be interesting!

^ WC 11 Semi-finalist. Not all that disappointing. Zim did give them a run for their money, but that says more about the Zims than them. They are under a new captain, so I'd give them some more time.

Just reposting this from the South Africa vs Australia thread....

Australia drew the series, but it comes at a cost. Their next opponents are NZ, and for the 1st test Australia will be without

Shane Watson
Pat Cummins
Ryan Harris
Shaun Marsh
Mitchell Johnson

Yikes, obviously they've got replacements, but Cummins, Watson, Marsh and Johnson are big misses.

Johnson not so much... he is like the bowling version of Ashraful these days where on Eid days he would destroy an opposition but under usual circumstances gets few wickets and leaks too many runs.

The early news from the Gabbatoir is that Warner, Pattinson (James) and Starc will make their debuts today. Cutting just misses the ... well... cut. Despite topping the Shield wickets tally until now. Baggy green presentations were just completed - Michael Slater to Warner, Andy Bichel to Pattinson, Richie Benaud to Starc. Cutting is officially the 12th man but will fly to Melbourne for Vic-Qld Shield match.

Pattinson to Guptill, no run, almost another chance to Khawaja at short leg. Guptill stays back and tucks a short ball off his hips and it nearly yorks Khawaja who is standing up a touch early. Might have been a chance if he stayed low.

Even though Australia's missing some key players, I believe Australia will win these test matches pretty easily. New Zealand's batting is pretty weak.

Disappointed with NZ once again however, it's too early to say whether it'll be a competitive series, but i surely hope so - with Aus a little sub-par with their bowling at the absence of Mitch and Cummins.

Shakib - Tell me it gets better...
Vettori - Yeah...look...oh who am I kidding, it doesn't get better mate, if anything it gets worse.
Shakib - Worse? How is that even possible?
Vettori - Ashraful could come back, and be made captain...
Shakib - Why would you even joke around like that?

heh heh....

read an interview of this youngster called Asif [scored a century] and he said he took advice from Ash during their partnership in the FC match. If only we could hear what 'advice' ash provided...

^Easy, I reckon the youngster simply listened to everything Ashraful said, and has decided to do the exact opposite.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

IDK where else to post this, but was this some sort of a get party? That's exactly what it looks like, very homo. V-neck and rainbows...
