Mohammed Amir - fresh from the remote regions was barely 18 at the time. I really feel bad for him as he had no one to take care of him during his dilemma. This picture gets me every time. BD team is young, so no scope of having a brother figure like this in our team - yet. But with all the wisdom and senior players in Pakistan - The Amir situation could have been avoided. I hope the seniors in all teams have learned something - that Noblesse oblige nobility has responsibilities - and steps up to the plate to foster the new kids. Ofcourse, when the seniors take part - as happened in India and South Africa (and I do not want to mention names and open wounds - let them be buried please) then it is a different story.

But let each senior player take on the added responsibility and perhaps this mode of operation of guidance should become a model - for all teams.
