Got some crappy players like Shahadat, Razzak and to some extent Shafiul !!! Also got some players who are not well suited for this format I guess (Chanderpaul, Jayasuriya).. though Jayasuriya had a good IPL season before but still I think they should've spent that amount on some new, energetic and promising players !!!

One thing I really dont like here in BC is the members tendency to jump on the bandwagon of, anything to be honest, without giving a second thought. At times, not only its juvenile, but irritating as well.

For all I read, we are making judgement based on a comment by one of the parties in a contract that was not successful and fell apart during the negotiation phase.

Its very simple. The Management of KRB asked Arnob to compose a song, who asked for "X" amount of money, but was given a counter offer of "Y" amount. KRB received offers from few other artists, and one of them offered to compose the theme song at a lower price.

Now, Arnob's claim of Orion looking for the cheapest is his personal opinion. Just because Orion is one of the biggest Industrial Conglomerate in Bangladesh does not mean they will have to spend whatever the artist asks for. Everything has a budget, even in a billion dollar business. They are within their right to have a counter offer. It is a very common business practice. They are not willing to pay is not the same thing as 'can't afford'.

How do we know Arnob didnt ask for an obscene amount of money, knowing that Orion is loaded and BPL is a big business where everyone is trying to cash in. Hec, even the Police asked for Tk 5 Crore the other day for protection fee !!!

Arnob's further claim of fellow musician lowering themselves down for money is also futile. He might be a big star in Bangladesh but not everyone is. His price tag won't match that with the others who are trying to catch up and "this" might be the lucky break for them. The other artist who offered to do at a lower price might do an equally good job and this publicity means more to him than the monitory amount.

This is just a theme song for the team, not a freakin album that the Orion group is paying for. Neither the team's success, performance nor support has anything to do with the theme song. This is just an add on product, necessary but not mandatory.

I'm not batting here for Orion Group, neither I'm trying to bowl Arnob out, who happens to be one of my favourite singer. He might even have a valid claim, but we dont know that. Infact, we dont know anything about that deal beside ONE copied FB post that we were told was his.

My point is, we jump onto a conclusion too easily and too quickly even before getting to know if the facts are right or what's the other side of the story ??

One post and then it follows by how Orion is cheap, chechra, gadha and starting to find out reasons "not" to support the team.

To some extend, its actually funny !!

বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগে (বিপিএল) খুলনা রয়েল বেঙ্গলসের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হলেন সংগীতশিল্পী হাবিব ও ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ। বিপিএলে খুলনা রয়েল বেঙ্গলস দলটির একটি শিরোনাম সংগীত তৈরি করেছেন হাবিব। আর এতে তাঁর দ্বৈত কণ্ঠে গান করেছেন হাবিবের বাবা ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ।
গতকাল বুধবার হাবিবের স্টুডিওতে গানটির রেকর্ডিং সম্পন্ন হয়। রক ফিউশনধর্মী গানটির কথা হচ্ছে, ‘ঘুম ভুলে যাও, দেখো রূপসার বুক থেকে আসছে নতুন এক ঢেউ/এবার জমবে খেলা, শিকারের এই নেশা, রুখতে পারবে না কেউ/ হুংকার গর্জনে সবটুকু অর্জন, কেড়ে নেবো ব্যাটে আর বলে।’ গানটির কথা লিখেছেন আসিফুর রহমান। সুর ও সংগীত করেছেন হাবিব ওয়াহিদ। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে প্রথম আলো অনলাইনকে হাবিব ও ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ দুজনেই খুলনা রয়েল বেঙ্গলসের গানটি করার ব্যাপারটি নিশ্চিত করেন।
হাবিব জানিয়েছেন, ‘আমি এখন ন্যান্সির একক অ্যালবামটির কাজ নিয়েই ব্যস্ত। খুলনা রয়েল বেঙ্গলস দলের গানটি করার জন্য খুব বেশি সময় পাইনি। গানের কথার সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে সুর ও সংগীত পরিচালনা করেছি। সুন্দরবনসহ খুলনার নানা বিষয় তুলে ধরা হয়েছে গানটির কথায়। আমার অন্য গানগুলোর চেয়ে এটি একেবারে আলাদা।’
ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ বলেন, ‘এটি বাবা-ছেলের দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো একসঙ্গে গান করা। সারা দেশের মানুষ এখন বিপিএল উন্মাদনায় মত্ত! সবার চোখই এখন এই আয়োজনের দিকে। এই আয়োজন নিয়ে এমন একটি গানে কণ্ঠ দিতে পেরে দারুণ লাগছে! আশা করি সারা দেশের মানুষ গানটি পছন্দ করবে।’
ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ আরও বলেন, ‘বাবা হিসেবে নয়। একজন শিল্পী হিসেবে বলতে চাই গানটির মাধ্যমে সবাই অন্য এক হাবিবকে খুঁজে পাবে। রয়েল বেঙ্গল টাইগারের লাফ দেওয়ার যে ছন্দ গানের ছন্দে তার পুরোটাই উঠে এসেছে। সত্যিকার অর্থেই গানটি অনেক বেশি উদ্দীপনা জাগাবে সবাইকে।’
উল্লেখ্য, হাবিব ও ফেরদৌস ওয়াহিদ সর্বশেষ অবশেষে অ্যালবামে একসঙ্গে গান করেন।
