You said NRR should come into effect when HtoH count is same ...?? So, what's the head to head count (HtoH) between BB & CK??

It's not only between Barishal and Chittagong. It's for all the teams stuck on the same number of points. So it's head-to-head between Dhaka, Chittagong and Barishal. Dhk and Ctg have three wins in these head-to-heads while Barishal have two.

Question is why suddenly they have to make changes just few hours before the match ? 'Barisal makes to semi' was the headline of all dailies, news channels. what was the stake that BPL management could not resist to change the rule very last moment ?

Agree here
The decision is fair had it been told about at the beginning. But telling it at the end of the tournament is poor thinking as every was thinking about N.R.R only

Even so it doesn't change the fact that the rule is a poor one and takes a lot of excitement away from the tournament. Most importantly it's not fair to a team who made such a valiant effort in order to reach the semis. Barisal over Ctg anyday.

Teams losing with the bottom of the table.... Must be credited as the better team.... ??
That's why NRR is a better indicator than such BS H2H...

I have no objection against H2H but the time when the decision has been made. I didnt even see it in the point table b4, just today
I think Lipu is trying to outwit Lipu in terms of stupidity

I feel deeply sorry for BB. They have literally been robbed by the BPL committee. This is not gonna be a very good advertisement for the BPL. Even as a CK fan, i feel BB deserved to be in the semi more than DG & CK after the way they came out last night.
BPL is turning out to be a parar league. This is utterly disgraceful.

Bhai, parar cricket-e if you tried this sort of thing, you would get your head smashed in.
If I was the owner of the BB, I would call a press conference and threaten to end my association with the league.
Because you know, next year, the BPL, will do away with H2H, and go back to the accepted norm - NRR as a tiebreaker.

I still don't understand the math. There are 6 matches between these three. So how can it be 3-3-2??

Four teams have played 12 matches among themselves till now. Of them, Khulna Royal Bengals won four, Dhaka Gladiators and Chittagong Kings won three each while Barisal Burners won two. Burners left after this head to head count," Lipu told reporters.

Now KRB is 12 points so its between Dhaka, CTG and Barisal
Dhaka beat CTG once and barsal twice
CTG beat dhaka and barisal once
Barisal beat chittagong only once
Fair decision but very disgusting that it was all told a day b4 the semi-final

They shouldve clarified this even before the run chase started and when Arun Lal was saying it again and again and Shamim Chy was being doubtful of whether that will happen or not!! How come none of the match referees who were watching the broadcast correct them? or even the statistician? Was it only Lipu who knew about it after he realized that money making Chittagong is out of the tournament?
This seems like a BCCI official trying to make India play the final even after India losing the matches,, finding obsolete rules or digging up by-laws that only they kept in their chest pocket!!

Bad luck for Barisal but rules are rules.
BPL did make it clear before the tournament began.
