I don't see anyone else apart from Mushy with captaincy experience.

Decent team but this team will lack synergy as like BPL 1.

The key thing is the 'payment'. If the same thing happens like last year then BPL will be dead.

SR is a decent squad.

Here goes my XI.
1-Smith.
2-Stirling.
3-Masakadza/Babar.
4-Mushi(wk&c).
5-Mominul.
6-A.Russel.
7-Chokka Milon.
8-Sohag.
9-Shuvo.
10-Nazmul.
11-Best.

Decent Pace Attack with Best,Nazmul,D.Smith,Russel,Milon.

Spin as well with Sohag,Shuvo,Mominul(mini shakib,mushi shud use him),Stirling(good off spin).

Batting is a matter of concern,specially top order. :-(

^ Agree with you batting is a big concern. D Smith, , Mushy, Russel have to perform with the bat consistently and Mominul, Nazmul Hossain Milon and rest have to chip well if SR to do well. Bowling attack looks fine.

Salauddin has been appointed SR's HC. not a bad option when you are willing to spend low amout of money for a HC.

One thing that's bothering me about the BPL this time is that a lot of the players have no affiliation with their new teams. I mean is anyone in the SR squad actually from Sylhet Division?

Shakib's playing for Dhaka. And Tamim, a khati Chatgaiya, playing for Rajshahi?

Agreed. That's one thing BPL-1 really got right. I mean I'm a Khulna fan and I want to see the Khulna boys in my team or atleast one or two major Khulna players like Shak/Mash. Instead we got bunch of Pakistanis and SN. That's a bad joke.

By grace of auction, we only get the regional name! Without it nothing is concerned with region. Neither players nor owners are related with the regions. We should consider that these are just names to attract regional supporters.

On the contrary, I think the players of home region does have a big influence in attracting the local fans. As a Khulna fan, I just can't relate to my team since no well known Khulna player is there. That's why IMO the icon player system does have it's merits. Too bad some of our icon players sucked so bad last time which resulted in cancelling the system totally.
