For this season its an OK team with the tight budget they have...
Tamim, Samuels, Alex Hales, Sami... (and retaining most of their players from last season)... not even close to DG or CK... but chole arki.
Team chemistry has always been DR's strength anyway... but without Mushy I wonder who'll lead this time...
Also, does anyone know if DR cleared all the payments for their players/coach/staff from last season? I know all the franchises were late and missed payments left and right, but retaining your players from last season says something I guess....

Duranto Rajshahi’s secret bid of $121,000 for Abul Hassan took the other franchisees by surprise as the second highest bid for the pace-bowling all-rounder was just $53,000 by Khulna Royal Bengals. In the first edition of BPL Hassan did not find a place in any team until Sylhet Royals’ Rubel Hossain was ruled out with injury. However, his recent century in his debut Test against West Indies certainly lifted his demand to Duronto.

That was worst of all. Abul is talented no doubt but there is no way he worth 121k coz of his bowling. max. maybe DR picked him up as a opener?

Tamim and Alex Hales...possibly the best opening combo along with DG's Dilshan and Ash/Anam/Wright.

That will be the same opening combo when Tamim went to play for Nottinghamshire

1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Alex Hales (O)
3. Marlon Samuels (O)
4. Jahurul Islam
5. Sean Irvine (O)
6. Abdul Razzaq (O)
7. Ziaur Rahman
8. Abul Hasan
9. Mohammad Sami (O)
10. Monir Hossain
11. Taijul Islam
Pretty balanced team imo and should give Dhaka Gladiators a run for their money. One thing is that they will start well and finish in style.

Monir Hossaina and Taijul r SLA'ers.
DR have a very poor bowling attack.

To me they have a decent attack. If Sami brings his last BPL form into BPL2 and Abul brings consistency into his pacy deliveries then i think they can be a threat in the comp. Monir's legbreaks are pretty economical so it could work out for them.
They have a powerpacked batting lineup. Besides Jahurul the rest of the batsmen are all matchwinners.

Tait will add good value to the tournament, if he can stay fit and play a bulk of DR's matches.
Anyone knows how much he has been bought for ?

In Bangladesh you need at least one good spinner. They are short of one
