My Analysis with a Soccer spectrum:

I think this will eventually form.. Eventually, we will have players we like and follow them; Its like it will be Abahani and Mohammedan... Those of us who are above 30 will either support Mohammedan or Abahani or Brothers. but its hard for us to start supporting Sheikh Jamal or whatever new Sheikh teams that comes because we can't associate with them..

Its like if you liked Emperor Salahuddin, prolific Aslam,or magical Rumi ,, you supported blues and if you like Arambagher Monu's running, The wall Kaiser Hamid or 10 year-ahead-of-his-time-Shabbir,, you were the black-white tent; And if you symphatized Gafur Baluch, Wasim or Gopibagh, you were orange to the heart..We will start rooting for a team that has most of the players we like and when we actually start to see them play, we will group under the banner..if BPL continues, eventually the young generation will become the 80s Abahani-Mohammedan like supporters of Khulna, Rajshahi, Dhaka..

I will support Barisal Burners because I think they are like Wari, Arambagh or maybe Rohomotgonj- The Alternative Rock band...Dhaka Gladiators and Khulna Royals are like Mohammedan and Abahani who are most likely to win the cup.. Rajshahi is the Brothers Union And Chittagong Kings are like East Bengal or Mohanbagan club-- like I know them, good team yes but can't associate with them as closely

Thank you Bhai.. BJMC porjonto jai nai because by the time I really understood football, they were already waning and I think it was all Abahani-Mohammedan in the early 80s-90s. The sudden burst of 'Wari Ailo' or 'Arambagher Bagh' was there but BJMC didnt have the fund or crowd following at that time.. the good thing is they are back again this year after 30 years!!

Born and educated in ctg and have always supported anything from ctg. BUT cannot get myself to even care about this copycat team for the following reasons:

- Liverpool copy/paste logo is a complete turnoff. They spent so much money on cheerleaders and branding but could not put the slightest effort in creating a proper badge.

- Ugly white cheerleaders.

- Unimaginative name. "Kings" seriously? Again copied from Chennai kings. "Cyclones" would have been SO much better just like last year.

- Most importantly, SaQa Chowdhury's team. Don't want my support to go to that rajakars business fund.

Its Khulna Royal Bengals for me.

From Chittagong and Chittagong King is obviously first choice. Aussies will make them champion for sure.

Love Shakib. Khulna is second choice.

Bottom in support but top in point table.

GO CK GO

I'm one big bowl of hotchpotch when it comes to cheering for a specific team in this BPL. Here's why (in no particular order) :

Rajshahi : uber-respect for Mushy + their underdog status
Khulna : Shakib + their infectious theme song + peer pressure
Barisal : family roots
Dhaka : born and raised there + Mashrafe

And all the teams have our future cricketers, who I will cheer for ANY DAY over the veteran... !
