What a great match, India win it by 1 run
One of the greatest day to enjoy such two intense t20 matches. This would be much fun if Pakistan could restrict Aussies for 112.

Wait, I don't get it. So SA got kicked out when Aus scored those 2 runs? How? I can't find the damn table for super 8 on CI...

nope... it was more straight forward than that... Pakistan won TWO games while SA only won one in the super eight stage (so they were basically eliminated when Pakistan beat Australia)

Looks like Pakistan will be out of the tournament. Just don't see them beating Australia. It'll be between SA and India in the end. It'll be interesting to see who wins out in that match up

I think people are forgetting that Pakistan just beat Australia in recent T20 series, and same warner and watson who were hitting sixes at will against indian sweet and tasty bowling linup were made to struggle for runs in Dubai T20 Series and again in World T20 Yesterday.

I actually didn't forget. I just didn't think Pakistan had a chance with its struggling batting lineup. And had Jamshed not been dropped, then Pakistan might've put up yet another sub par total. Credit to Pakistan though. They exposed Australia big time once Watson and Warner got out.
The semis will be interesting. I predict a high scoring game for Aus/WI. Pak/SL should also be interesting. The key is how Pakistan's batting performs as it seems like Jamshed is now their Kohli.

Aus can't chase down a high scoring total without Watson and Warner. If WI can take out Watson and Warner early on they have a really good chance.

Boy, NZ's are turning into a bunch of whiners from fighters. Every T20 should game have a Super-Over/Tiebreaker. That's the whole point of T20...

Although they failed this time around, and it wasn't even that high chase, but don't doubt Hussey, White and Wade. They can hit. Their middle order is solid.
WI middle - Power
Aus - Balanced
SL middle - Classy
Pak middle - Shaky

How awesome is that when the away team has probably just as much support as the home team, from the home fans? I mean you can't tell me, someone out there hates this WI team?

Two top teams in the final, no doubt about it.
SL have managed to reach 3 world cup finals in recent years but didn't win anything. You gotta feel bad for them and given this is their home ground, you would have to fancy them.
Not liking WI team is as good as blasphemy. Not since the decline started in the mid 90's, WI looked this strong and good and this is their format. You can't help but hope they win this world cup.
It is such a dilemma.
In the end, I'd be happy either way but leaning towards WI.
Gangnam style once more.

Don't forget how WI got to the final!
They got some serious luck there - like the Pak team did when they won their ODI WC led by Imran Khan!!
WI got one point against the Irish after the match was called off just aftet Irish batting. And I believe they were lucky in one of the super eights match as well.
Anyway, good luck to them
And Sl too!!!

KP da, you couldn't possibly comparing Pakistan's luck in 1992 to that of WI in 2012.
If my memory serves me right, Pakistan got a point due to rain in a game where they were bowled out for 74 batting first !!
WI, on the other hand, were unlucky to have their both group matches interfered by rain. You really think WI would have had a hard time chasing the Irish target of 129 ??
Against Aussies, they scored a mammoth 191 and despite Aussie advantage half way thru, we all know what a couple of quick wickets can do and so the result of that match can always be debatable.
