Different theme, for a change
I know we all have talked about Bangladesh cricket team's jersey quite a few many times.
The Green and Red, themed on our national flag, has been the predominant one over the years. There were little variation of colour over here and there, but we never got out of the green-red combo.
Why dont we try something different for a change ??
Why dont we try a different combination, a different theme based jersey, lets just say to rejuvenate things, a change of luck those sort of things.
Instead of predominant green-red, why dont we have a predominent red-green/yellow, Yellow-Green/Red.
I always thought we could have our "Tiger" themed jersey just to have a different presence on the ground.
BCB logo:
It has Green, Red, Yellow and Orange all in it.
Our National flag has Green/Red with the older version have yellow in it.
Our team's pet name:
Why dont we have something like this:
(Its just a sample i'm using, we could come up with our version. I'm using West Tigers Rugby team of Sydney NRL as an example)
Another example, Bangladesh Football team. They had a Red/Green jersey.
Just a thought. May be we need something different to bring a change of luck.
Wearing a different jersey won't change the Ghilu in the boys head, but it will be a refreshing new look.
Well, it will even suit the way boys usually perform.

Red-Green is ZIms color. It's not about the color combo, it's about the shade of color and type of fabric. They have chosen some of the ugliest greens throughout.
You can't just change the theme. Aus will always be Yellow/Gold-Green, NZ will always be black/silver etc. And that's why it's so good!

Red, gold and green is a winning combo as long as we use the right dark green, deep red and actual gold or deepish yellow. The combination also pays homage to our Liberation flag and the Shonar Bangla concept. That being said, any number of gradients of green and/or greenish Turquoise can be worked into the deep green as a design element. Gradients of yellow could also be worked into the gold tastefully. Nobody wants a clown suit (2007 WC) or a leaky bladder suit (2011 WC) or the taler-rausher vomit suit of late.

Not a bad idea. I would start off with our T20 jersey just for experimentation(Not that we play T20Is regularly -_-)

I didn't think any one of 'them' would be here reading my post buddy
Their home venue, Leichhardt Oval, used to be pretty much next to my house in
inner west Sydney suburbs

Ahh...I spent a bit of time there, but only visiting friends. I remember when they were the Balmain Tigers.

Foy Street - a couple of streets away from the Hospital. Used to go to the Punch Park Tennis Center quite a bit.

different theme? No need. We are good the way we are and a drastic change in our jersey will end up getting a jersey like the one in Zim tour..which was as if someone puked on the torso
bhai jerokom asi bhalo asi. TBH i think our jersey is decent enough

I remember we tried yellow and green at home once (when Bulul/Akram used to play). Looked pretty Aussie, although the outcome was different.

ohh so Global Neway did the SR jersey as well? No wonder they were the best. As I've earlier mentioned, our training jerseys look very good for the first time. All of them are looking smart.

This was used during 08 when we toured SA. it was good dont know why they didnt use it anymore. because of this we had different colour of batting pads too rather than light green we do now
we r the only team who changes their jersey for every series gd idea but the design is 99% of the time

Either way, I agree. That was one of the decent ones we've had in a long time. IDK why they had it for 3 matches only. Which other teams change jersey in every series!?! Time to get rid of "Bata" and get a proper sports company to do all the kits.

if we can waste so much money on changing jerseys every series than we can also get a company like Nike to do our kits.

^ Doesn't cost so much to change a couple of hundred jerseys - especially in Bangladesh and where the sponsor is paying for it. Here they would have had to change it because we have Neway as our new sponsor.
Would have been nice to have Reebok sponsor us though. They only sponsor Shakib I think. Might have sponsored Ash before?
