charging down the wicket should be a batsman's last resort when runs are not coming in other ways.

well, as we won the game, it did not matter. but if we had lost, most of the ppl would have gone crazy the way jahurul and anamul lost their wickets
lol, he wasn't calm at all, was going down the ground a lot.
But he still looked in better control than Bijoy after the rain break.

Anyway, once again he threw it away, he is getting starts but struggling to convert them.
Don't know what to expect of him but he deserves another full series.

A few hard working near fifties, Poor rotation of strike and no ability to hit cleanly.

Haven't seen him playing a fluent innings, irrespective of score, As I saw in Mominul. So I have better hope with Mominul than him...

How long can he be pursued before dropping?

I saw Mushy talking to him after his upper cut for four, and if I'm right I think he did give Jahurul the license to go for the kill. And rightly so.
My thoughts exactly. We had 8 wickets in hand and batted down to 8. I think people are being over critical. It was better to stay on top of the run rate, rather than let it climb to 8 or 9 runs per over and suddenly panic.

Johu and Anam did a good job by lowering down the asking rate. Considering the facts that Sena and Malinga had some overs left, which would have been (and indeed were) difficult to score of, with the old ball of course.

Agree fully with ShakRulz

He may not have excelled, but certainly has done enough to retain his spot I say he should take this opportunity to cement his position in the team by excelling against Zimbabwe, his next assignment after the T20. expecting at least a fifty and a century.(all formats combined)

Has brainfarts at crucial situations. Has showed enough though. Has technique but lack of brains..

We are never gonna any matches with these Auuumiis.
Good for 2 shots, good for 10 runs. Thats all.
Folks like him are not match winners, they are just the stop gap solution.
Will get booted out the moment next guy comes along.

I would love to be proved wrong for Bangladesh's sake though.
Never wished anyone bad, never will.
I think he would do really well if he can manage to hang on to the central contract next time around.

Aumi is amongst Sohel's Most rated players.... I don't think he is gonna make it so soon. Lets see him in a easier series in Zimbabwe.....if he can overcome his probs...

Not out of the clear yet. Showed some ability and feel he can succeed at this level but needs to score big if he wants to continue to be a part of the team

He should focus more on ODI & Test. He was just filling in today for Tamim/Anamul. I don't expect him to make the T20 squad against Zim, but he should definitely be a part of the Test & ODI squad fo the Zim series for now.

he looks better than a lot of BD batsman because he's got reasonable technique, but you still need to perform. he's being given a lot of chances atm so this is the time for him to step up and take his place in the team, so far he's not done that.

I do not see a good opener in Jarule. He should be lower middle order in one dayers but not in the test 11 unless he changes his game. His got ok technique to work with for the coaching staff.....just needs add a few more shots and temperament.

He was lucky initially but steadied himself and has done half the job by seeing off the new ball and staying not out by the end of the day. Now his job for tomorrow is to score a 100. I know he's new but it's the ideal platform for him against weaker opposition. Best of luck for him tomorrow.

Omi if you can't score a hundred against Zimbabwe then you may as well go play Clemon Indoor cricket or University cricket or whatever it is you do on the morning of a professional game.

He averages 32 without scoring a 50. It shows he's been getting the starts but not converting. He owes the team a big innings. He won't get a better opportunity to score a 100 tomorrow.

yeah his average of 32 shows he's consistently getting the shine off the ball, and also shows he's not going onto bigger scores. i would give him this series and the next to convert some of the scores. however even if he doesn't i'd still pick him ahead of the likes of SN, junaid, imrul. but if he doesn't i'd be looking at giving anamul a proper run.

It's not that he plays too many shots. He bats negatively for a long period of time, then all of sudden starts to get aggressive. He doesn't have a flow.

This man is the one that give Tamim advice on how to score a hundred. Oddly enough Jahurul is yet to reach a fifty in tests.
