He gets out a lot in the 40s, should work on that. His slow starts and slowness near his hundred isn't as big a problem as we are making out, certainly areas to improve which will help both himself as a player and the team but as we saw a couple of matches ago, an opener scoring 100 at s/r 75 is still a terror launching pad for the rest of the team to push for a big score. He is young he will improve.

Ajfar: I understand your concern, and i firmly believe that once he makes it a habit to reach those figures in ODI, he can easily correct himself and his confidence will grow. Quite understandably, the kid is still getting adjusted to the pace of international Cricket. and Truth be told, He is still a kid. The nerves are getting to him since he hasn't cemented his spot in the team like let's say Shakib. I really hope he can gain lots of confidence in himself just like Mominul Haque. This is something that can be corrected.

what a series he just had, I was so not in favor of his inclusion in the ODI team but look at him now, made good use of the opportunity he got in Tamim's absence & Mushy's finger injury.
Although he looked poor during Srl series but this Asia cup brought him back.
Looking forward to him to continue this way in Tea20 cup.

Sealed his spot in shorter formats for now, very promising, already 2 tons and considering mushy out best bat only just got his 2nd after 100+ matches I think anamul is doing pretty well. Could have had a couple more half centuries to his name by now had he not got out in the 40s so often.

I would rate his innings against India even better than the one he played against Pakistan even though he made a 100. In that innings against India, it was lovely to watch how he assessed the situation and mixed caution with aggression.

11 sixes in 16 ODI's and 6 sixes in 4 T20 INT. He probably got the highest ratio of hitting sixes in the country.

Yet people thinks he shouldn't play shorter version because he have "poor footwork". Look at the numbers before making such comments. I think this boy will go a long in shorter version (ODI and T20) if he can improve his rotating ability a bit more in the PP(when the fielders are in) he can easily be one to watch out for. Will come good in test too in time

If you've got it, flaunt it. I had rather have over the top celebrations than tears...and we have seen enough of those.

if Anamul can survive the initial overs from the quick bowlers, it is very hard to stop him.

i agree that i would prefer OTT celebrations.

But i personally feel at times he thinks about personal gain over team performance "AT-TIMES". I wish him all the best

yeah, what's the point of playing reza if he only bowls one over? could easily get nasir to bowl his mediums for that over or get more overs out of mash/al amin if it's a pace thing.

Happy to see Anamul's progression as a batsman. Al_Furqan's boy is growing in stature before our very eyes...

When? And are you bothered about him "showing off" or him being selfish? Because both are entirely different, you could be totally selfish without being OTT and vice versa. Nasir is a classic example IMO - his celebrations are sometime way over the top, but I don't think he's been ever selfish

I actually had good fun seeing his reaction on missing out on a six and OTT celebrations after finishing it off

Anamul might have hit the six to boost the NRR... maybe? But still I think the way he had done the six, or the initial desire the hit the 6 to finish it off, as opposed to a single, was to again, support Mushfiq's whole philosophy of "revenge". A six to to finish of the game is a bold move and certainly a revenge type of shot. I hope his intentions were pure and not anything about personal ego, or showing off his talent. Cuz ego will only hurt him in the future when he's got a good thing going here.

this kid seems like he can be very good but he needs to have the confidence which he seems to have now and he's coming on.
