Recommendations from Cricket Operations Committee Meeting


The BCB Cricket Operations Committee in its meeting today (Saturday,
12 May) decided to recommend Bangladesh Team’s Tour to Zimbabwe for a
T20 tri-series, Tour to Ireland for 5 (five) ODIs against Ireland,
Netherlands and Scotland and T20 tournament in Trinidad to the BCB
Board for approval. The tours will take place between June and August
2012.

It was also decided that a camp involving 27 cricketers (BCB
contracted players and those in contention for National Team
selection) will begin from 20 May 2012 at the SBNCS, Mirpur.
Bangladesh bowling coach Shane Jurgensen will be the interim Head
Coach of the camp.

Would also like that sakib plays for essex in FLT20 giving chance for youngster like mominul or ziaur in the side

Benched - Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Abdur Razzak, Jahurul Islam

I dropped Kayes because i want the team to be similar to the T20 team that will play in the T20 World Cup. Kayes is not a T20 player so i would give Siddique a chance. I also would give Ashraful a chance to stake his claim for the T20 World Cup.

Ill give Shafiul a chance as well. And we will also see how the youngster Anamul perform. I would also rest up Tamim and Shakib to give Mahmudullah more of responsibility. From this we will be able to see how he performs.

Overall i want this tour to be used as preperation for the T20 World Cup. I also want this tour to be used to give youngsters such as Anamul a go.

i wouldn't rest tamim as he hasn't had many t20 matches this year..only played twice in bpl

True.. Tamim shouldn't be rested..

If Shakib is playing for Essex for T20 then he should go there as that will give him more experience and he will learn more..

টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপ নিয়ে জাতীয় দলের পরিকল্পনা
বাংলানিউজ২৪: বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট দলের সমস্ত কার্যক্রম এখন থেকে আবর্তিত হবে সেপ্টেম্বরের টি-টোয়েন্টিবিশ্বকাপ ঘিরে। অন্তত আগামী তিন মাস জাতীয় দলের কোনো বড় দৈর্ঘ্যরে ম্যাচ থাকবে না। জুনে জিম্বাবুয়ে সফরে টি-টোয়েন্টি, ইউরোপে ওয়ানডে এবং ত্রিনিদাদ অ্যান্ড টোবাগোতে টি-টোয়েন্টি ক্রিকেটে সীমিত থাকছে জাতীয় দলের কার্যক্রম।
২৭ জন ক্রিকেটার নিয়ে ২০ মে থেকে মিরপুর শেরেবাংলা জাতীয় স্টেডিয়ামে কন্ডিশনিং ক্যাম্পের আয়োজন করছে বিসিবি। পর্যায়ক্রমে তালিকা ছোট করে আনবেন নির্বাচকরা। জুনের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে জিম্বাবুয়েতে ত্রিদেশীয় টি-টোয়েন্টি সিরিজের জন্যস্কোয়াড ঘোষণা করা হতে পারে। ১২ অথবা ১৩ জুন হারারের উদ্দেশে দেশ ছাড়বেন ক্রিকেটাররা। সেখানে কন্ডিশনের সঙ্গে মানিয়ে নিতে একটি ৫০ ওভারের প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচ খেলার সুযোগ পাবে।
টি-টোয়েন্টি সিরিজ হবে ১৮ থেকে ২৪ জুন। জিম্বাবুয়ের বিপক্ষে উদ্বোধনী ম্যাচ খেলবে বাংলাদশ। পরের দিন ১৯ জুন দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার বিপক্ষে সিরিজের দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচটিও বাংলাদেশের। দ্বিতীয় লেগে বাংলাদেশের ম্যাচ দুটি হবে ২১ ও ২২ জুন। দুই লেগের খেলায় পয়েন্টে এগিয়ে থাকা দুই দলের মধ্যে ফাইনাল হবে ২৪ জুন। লিগে জিম্বাবুয়ে এবং দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার কাছ থেকে পয়েন্ট বাগাতে পারলে বাংলাদেশের ফাইনালে খেলাওঅসম্ভব হবে না। ফাইনালে উঠতে পারলে সফরে পাঁচটি টি-টোয়েন্টি খেলা হবে বাংলাদেশের।
পরের মাসে আয়ারল্যান্ড সফরে যাবে ওয়ানডে সিরিজ খেলার জন্য। বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিবি) চেষ্টা করছে ১০ থেকে ১২ জুলাই এর মধ্যে আয়ারল্যান্ডে পৌঁছাতে। একটু আগে যেতে পারলে কন্ডিশনের সঙ্গে মানিয়ে নেওয়া ক্রিকেটারদের জন্য কিছুটা সহজ হবে। আপাতত ২০,২২ ও ২৪ জুলাই আয়ারল্যান্ডের সঙ্গে তিন ম্যাচের সিরিজ ঠিক হয়ে আছে। শেষপর্যন্ত ম্যাচগুলো এগিয়েও আসতে পারে। বর্তমান সূচি ঠিক থাকলে ২৬ ও ২৭ জুলাই স্কটল্যান্ড ও নেদারল্যান্ডসের বিপক্ষে দুটি ওয়ানডে খেলে দেশে ফিরবে জাতীয় দল।
২৫ আগস্টে বিসিবি একাদশ যাবে ত্রিনিদাদ অ্যান্ড টোবাগোতে। ক্যারিবিয়ান দ্বীপ দেশের সুবর্ণ জয়ন্তী উপলক্ষ্যে তিনটি টি-টোয়েন্টি ম্যাচ খেলবে তাদের দলের সঙ্গে। প্রথম ম্যাচ হবে ৩০ আগস্ট। ১ ও ২ সেপ্টেম্বর হবে বাকি ম্যাচ দুটি।
সেখান থেকে ফিরে জাতীয় দল চলে যাবে শ্রীলঙ্কায়। সম্ভব হলে একটু আগেই বিশ্বকাপ ভেন্যুতে দল পাঠাবে বিসিবি। বিশ্বকাপের আগে জিম্বাবুয়ে এবং আয়ারল্যান্ডের সঙ্গে দুটিপ্রস্তুতি ম্যাচের সুযোগ রেখেছে আইসিসি। তারও আগে আফগানিস্তান ও আইরিশদের সঙ্গে দুটি ২০ ওভারের ম্যাচের ব্যবস্থা হলে মন্দ হয় না।

ITINERARY: Tri-nation T20 in Zimbabwe & T20 series against T&T in Trinidad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has approved participation of the National Team in the Tri-nation T20 tournament in Zimbabwe in June and the BCB XI's tour of Trinidad for a T20 series against Trinidad & Tobago commemorating the Island’s Independence Day as per the following itinerary:

why on earth is there a 50 over practice match before a T20 series, unofficial or not?

also, should have tried to squeeze in a 4-dayer vs either of SA or ZIM in there. I don't believe the "no longer version before world cup" theory since it worked oh-so-well for the 2011 WC.

we should have covered Ireland's costs for a 4-dayer against them. overall good initiative from the BCB, but they left several gaps that should have been filled.

There will be a tour but date and venue has to be confirmed.
