Default BanglaCricket T20 XI - Two Opening Batmen

Hey this is BengaliPagol, here to bring you the second edition of the BanglaCricket XI voting. Since the inaugural BanglaCricket ODI XI was fairly successful im here to bring you the voting for the T20 format.

So first and foremost which two batsmen do you think should open the batting for Bangladesh in T20s? T20s is a relatively different format to ODIs. Both opening batsmen need to know the art of ticking off and sending the team off to a flier. They should also be capable of big hitting.

Opening batsmen position in T20s is a crucial spot in the team. So which two batsmen should fill the void?

Please vote only twice for this poll. This poll will end in 6 days.

Discuss.

Gotta be Tamim and Junaid if Anamul comes in at 3.

Im in a dilemma in deciding where Ashraful should be in the batting order. I would either put him opening which leads to Junaed being excluded from the team. Or either at no. 4 putting Anamul at no. 3 and Junaed at no. 2. I want Ashraful in the team. He could ultimately be an unexpected match winner for the team. He could either have a good innings with the bat or have a good over with the ball. Im suprised he did so well with his bowling in the DPL.

I think Tamim and Ashraful's opening pair is the best option for t20! if they can survive till 6-7 overs it could be different story, you all know.....

Ive decided that Junaed and Tamim should open the batting. I just hope they can get off to a flier and really put pressure on the opposition. I remember when Tamim and Junaed went of to a flier in a T20 World Cup game against Australia. Hope they can replicate that.

I really think Tamim with Ziaur will be lethal combination. Junaed can come in number 3. He is still quite unknown and has got big hitting capabilities and can be fearless at the top. Hoping that the team management gives him the confidence and some match practice before the world cup.

Tamim is the obvious choice but now its a tug of war between Junaed, Ashraful and Ziaur. Anyone can edge out as Tamim's opening partner. I have to agree Ziaur could really be an unknown force at the top of the order. He could really force a lot of pressure on the bowler if he hits early sixes. Ashraful well we dont know whats going to happen. We all know he has potential but will he execute. Junaed can hit also.

Ashraful should be nowhere near the top order. He could bat down the order above Mortaza or should only be sent up as a pinch hitter. Ziaur and Tamim should open. Or Junaid.

off course Tamim & Junaid.
Junaid has been opening everywhere, besides how many times Tamim will have to adjust with new partners, Junaid & Tamim opened together many times, understand each other very well.
As a matter of fact I think Zia should be used as a pinch hitter who will come and play some big shots according to the situation.

Looks like Junaed is going to take the spot of Tamim's batting partner. But there is 5 days left. Plenty of time for Ashraful, Ziaur or Anamul to make a comeback.

Looks like Junaed had to earn his spot in the team. Anamul, Ashraful and Ziaur had a notable amount of votes but it looks like Junaed has sealed the win. The no. 3 batsmen poll will be very interesting. Im predicting a close finish in that poll.

Since Warwolf's, Z777 and Cricbooks votes will not count this is the official number of votes at the moment.

Tamim Iqbal - 25
Junaed Siddique - 10
Anamul Haque - 4
Mohammad Ashraful - 6
Ziaur Rahman - 5

Number of voters 25.

Junaid's main problem has been that he doesn't pace his innings well. That's why we see him being more successful in T20's compared to ODI's. I feel the best approach for Junaid is just to play his natural game which is play aggressively. This is a good place to start since quick 30's and 40's are beneficial in T20's.
