Batting first, we will score somewhere between 270 and 340. They will make something between 40 and 80.

Damn thats bullish. I'll be happy with anything crossing 300...and them being under 125.

Not fair for Qatar to face the likes of Shoumya and Asif who are very experienced in domestics and the U19 level.

টিমে সৌম্য ছাড়া আর কোন প্লেয়ার নাই নাকি? খালি সৌম্য ই পিটায় আর রান করে আর বাকিগুলা যায় আর আসে!

Looks like asifs ODI gameplan is to accelerate from sedated starts. He had a slow start agsainsst England only to blast away at the later stages.

Great start by soumya...I expect a 150 USB score from him

This performance so far from Shoummo isn't at all surprising to those of us who have seen him play in BKSP, DPL and NCL. The only surprising thing about him there is the fact that he rarely turns his ability, recognized by everyone in those leagues, into appropriately big scores. That being said, he's VERY young, possibly the only player who may actually be younger than his reported age (no way he's older than 16), and continues to get chances as an opener.

He should score at least 150+ here with a SR of 100+ and carry his form against better teams in the tournament. Great to see Ratul consolidating and playing the sheet anchor role in this partnership.

Sohel..is that how his name pronounced? These indigenous names are tough to pronounce... This soumya scored heavily against England also. I like this kid.

Yeah, I remember noting his performances against England U-19 as well. But there's the rub. There isn't much transition from our U-19 performers to the national squad, while there is for almost every other team.

Sho-oom-mo. It's a Bangla name bro. It means sober/stable/benign.
