No new noise from FICA. I'm assuming that they've cleared their dues now.

While their front page still lists the June press release when they initiated their legal proceedings, their current issues section does not list BPL as an issue.

http://www.thefica.com/en/current-issues

This is their list. Note the last item.

guess everyone involved in the teams aside from the players and coaches were just looking at some short term gain because if they think that not paying 54 players still so long after the tournament is ok then they can't be expecting anything to come from BPL 2.

CWAB should step up now, better boycott the WIndies series & BPL2;
Must file a case against BCB at court as well.

Our ex president managed to kiss a%% and make his way up to the vice president position in ICC but couldn't make sure players get paid after talking all big. No international stars will show up to play in BPL 2. It's not worth the hassle for international players. Local players have no choice, they are at the mercy of these teams and off course BCB didn't do anything about it. Right at the beginning when teams started throwing money all around during auction, I kept on wondering where are all these money's coming from. Will these teams actually pay up, or this is just some sort of popularity contest for them. From what it looks like it will end up looking like PCL/DPL, where all Pak/Ind/SL domestic no name players show up to play and not to mention perform well above some of our players.

This is absolutely ridiculous and shambolic. After FICA's involvement and pursuit, I thought it would be just a handful of players who were yet to get paid. But, this?

BPL 2 shouldn't be staged until all the screws are tightened by the BCB. First and foremost, BCB should stick to their damn words. October 20 should be the last deadline. If the players aren't paid in full, dissolve the franchise. No mercy, whatsoever. Don't spare them even if it's $1 owed.

We should stop dreaming about participating in CL if this is the case.

You got that 100% correct.

The massive, unseen damage to bangladesh Cricket and the reputation of the BCB grows each day the contracts remain breached.

The BCB/BPL GC risk being seen as toothless and incapable of running a bath.

I am in full support of Bangladesh Cricket and always have been, however, keeping promises, legal obligations and general professional courtesy is a minimum requirement.

If the BPL GC are GENUINE about non-paying franchises, they would scrap them and start again.

BCB has suspended all the activities of both DG and Duronto Rajshahi. However, they have chance to get things back if they are able to clear all the payment before 1 nov 12.

^ yes. But why the leniency and another deadline? The last deadline should have been the FINAL ultimatum.

Because they are also scared to not to get another franchisee soon. BCB should clear it off and solve the issues internally, without making much noise. Take strong actions after the second BPL, if there is any issue, so they will have enough time to arrange a new franchisee.
