Default Why do Ireland play home games overseas?

They play almost exclusively at Belfast in the UK...they have a ground in Dublin and probably one in Shannon. Why don't they play any matches there? That would be like Bangladesh playing home games primarily in Eden Gardens.

Clontarf is the only ground that can be used but probably wasn't free. And the rain doesn't help.

Ireland cricket team represents both Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland (Republic of Ireland). Just like the Irish rugby team. So, Belfast is not really overseas for them.
