Default Anyone out there ?

Looks like it's vacation time for everyone everytime Bangladesh starts playing.
153 for 7 from 48/49 overs. Can't say I'm really heartbroken, at least the team is consistent.
Kapali should be in the team as a batsmen, rather than an all rounder. Another good run (35) against a top opponent. If Pilot had managed a 30+, we'd be close to 200 run now.
Anyways, let's hope that Sanwar and Sumon can make it too 100 for 2 next time, they came very very close again. At 91 for 2, we looked good.

Default predictions?

i left the house with some hope at 89/2, but knowing it was just a matter of time given the one-day style of bashar/sanwar. returned to find the score at 157/7 as expected. if we last 50-60 overs on average, that is 3-4 hours of play. so expect bD to be all out for under 200 before lunch. which means stretching the game to lunch on the 3rd day would be asking for a lot.

ntini seems to trouble us a lot; is he their fastest bowler?

and what's up with mashud being out off his shoulder?

if BD can show they are learning from each innings and improve over the 4 test innings they will play, i think that will be good and all we can expect at this point. but if they collapse to 100 all out in the second innings it's back to square one.

Hayward is faster, though both he and Ntini are very very fast. But this being Hayward's first test in a while, well, made him kinda wayward. And what really is there to be afraid of when balls are pitched well outside the off - oh yes, the BD batsmen's habit of slashing at them with a open bat to slip.

I wish Ntini was seriously convicted of raping his girlfriend (true story). Life would have been much better for BD;s batsmen.

But hoping for tomorrow - team bats till lunch to cross 200. Then they hang on till the end of the day - problem is, the next time they go to bat, the Sanwars, Kapalis, Bashars will be moaning on why they have to go out and bat again !!

Bangladesh did very well today, especially Bashar, Kapali and Sanwar, if only one of them stayed on to get a high score as all 3 were well set and were playing very well. 2 batsmen were very unlucky, Al Shariar and Mashud, especially Mashud, the ball clearly hit his shoulder and the umpire gave him out, the umpire needs glasses. We should be only be 5 wickets down not 7. Hope Rafique and Tapash can get the score upto 200, but if Ntini comes to bowl we could be out for only 160.

Default Umpiring

Again, they need to give the weaklings like us the benefit of doubt and if opening_batsmen's view is followed, we're not even getting a fair deal.
We needed all the help we could get and we could have definitely used an lbw on Kirsten and atleast a couple on Smith.
*sigh*

Wait till the Indies comes to town, we will set up our umpires to wreck havoc on Hopper and his men, MUHAHAHAHAHHA.

Kapali is not a good batsman coming in at either number four or five in one dayers. That is, he is not a batsman, YET.

But, we can keep him in the test side as a batsman as long as he continues to score 20s and 30s each time.
