Indian team is lucky to not have faced Eng, Aus or SA in this tourney, they all have great pacers that are good in these bouncy conditions. WI also have some great pacers and they were able to beat India, so it should be interesting how they handle the Aussie bowlers.

ha ha ha kiwis match fix to guarantee anamul haque to be leading run scorer :P
bat first, collapse for under a hundred runs so Bowes and kock can't overtake anam

William Bosisto undoubtedly the MVP for this world cup! apart from getting run out with a couple of runs to win in the semi final, he hasn't been dismissed! played with such amazing temperament, in the mold of bevan and hussey! whaddaplaya. every single match top order failed and he came in and rescued them.

yes Bosisto is a beast...but I hope Anam gets MVP over him - if its even possible for a 7th place team. He played one down versus Bosisto coming in to have a bat with the field pushed back and change bowlers in.

It would have been unlike either as they needed 90+ and 130+ runs to overcome Bijoy.

Bhai you are speaking with a lot of bias... bosisto came in pretty much every single game with the score at 40/50-4. He is the only reason Australia are in this final, its called most valuable player for a reason, he has won them(or contributed heavily) every single match. Anamul had 2 match winning knocks whilst Bosisto had 5. Very easy decision for whoever selects MVP.

This Chand kid has been very very impressive. Totally lived up to the expectation and delivered when it matters the most. A fighting century in the final to win the world cup for his country.
This kid is a natural born leader.
Watch out guys.

Indian cricket is really on the right track.
ODI World Champion 2011.
U 19 World Champion 2012.
U 19 Asian Co Champions 2012.

This is what a good system can do.
Out goes the Dravids and the Laxmans, in comes the Kohlis and Chands.
They were never short of great batsmen and seems like the pipeline is working fine.

What a comeback from these two kids !!! 130 unbeaten partnership and that too when they were the last recognized pair and had to score over 5 runs per over.

Congrats to India for winning the U19 WC 2012 !

Damn that was impressive, I thought Chand would have been dismissed ( he was dropped twice though) sometime during the middle overs, but I knew Patel would have been difficult to get rid of because he has good technique. This was also suppose to be India's weaker U-19 team lol.

Congrats India. They got the bragging rights for both world cups. Whatever it is that they are doing seems to be working for them.

Congrats to India. They fully deserved the Cup. Gotta give it to them, they are producing some very good talents. Credit to them for building a strong system and nourishing these players well. Chand is going to be a real star for India in the future.

chand is impressive i have to say, and despite india struggling to produce bowlers they certainly have a terrific system for producing batsmen.

Babar Azam of Pakistan also looks like a solid prospect.

yeah bosisto did well and he was captain so he is one to watch but the thing about australia is they don't emphasize u19 cricket to much, so just because he did well here doesn't mean he's even guaranteed to be a FC cricketer in australia, in india, BD and other places his peformance would ensure him to make it to that level of cricket but he'll most likely still have to prove himself through grade cricket and state 2nd xi cricket before he gets to the 1st xi state level.

not only that his singular dismissal was via run out...bowler's couldn't get him out! that counts as a half dismissal in my book. so to me he averaged 552!

Wasn't chand dropped 2x against aussies, with at least one being a regulation sitter by the keeper?

At any rate, I think you could also add Bowes and Azam to that list as well. And of course Bosisto.
