Basketball -

The Book of Basketball - Bill Simmons

It's Simmons, so the Celtics and Bird get A LOT of love, but it really is a great read, informative as hell, and his ranking of the greats makes for a great read.

I liked it so much, I actually paid for it from iTunes

I'll give you something slightly tangential but on topic:

Friday Night Lights. The book that captures the spirit and ethos of small town Texas. Where highschool games can often have more spectators than what SBNS can hold.

^Haven't read the book but it sure is a good movie. Will find and read the book now.

I like the film adaptation better than Blind Side, Remember The Titans and Heaven Can Wait, also favorite football movies of mine. Still hate All The Right Moves and Mean Machine, all versions.
