Put up or shut up time for Shastri's India. In recent times Australia has rolled out batting friendly pitches for BCCI so it will come down to execution of the finer details. I think Aussies are in for a surprise from the pace and hostility of Umesh and Varun. At the same time, this might be the make and break tour for Shekhar Dhawan. He needs to show his buccaneering style will work against quality pace attacks on non-low pitches.
On the Aussie side I suspect Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will come to the party eventually.

Will this be another disappointing Test series for India. ?
Guys like Dhawan,Rohit ,Raina will be tested.
I would like to see Pattinson and Harris.
PATTINSON was so good against India last time they toured.

Adeliade is always known for less bounce and batsmen friendly wicket.

Batting conditions aren't so bad, if Ind fails to score 250+ here Ind batsmen will lose credibility.

354/6 in 1st day is a lot. Almost 4 an over. Looks like Steve Smith is going to get his 100. Anything 450+ Ind will be in deep trouble. Doesn't matter batting pitch or not. 2nd day is the best day to bat at adi.

Umesh perhaps, but Aaron is not aggressive. He's quick and seems to be able to maintain high end pace, but I dont he will scare anyone. Aaron is the new Srinath. Got carted around by Anamul and Mushy despite bowling near 150 kph. Aussies face MJ and faced Lee and Tait, Aaron will be duud bhat...quick dud bhat, but milk and rice nonetheless. Umesh is like an Indian waqar...I think he has aggressive potential. India have lacked an aggressive pacer since Sreesanth fell from grace.

What credibility? Except Kohli none of their batsmen can be relied on against big teams outside Asia

I have a feeling India will do well this series. Maybe only lose 2-1 or so. We'll see.

Australia will win the series 2-0 or 3-0. If India can draw this match in Adelaide (on a batting friendly pitch) then they might be able to secure a draw in Sydney as well where the pitch is comparatively slow.

But this series will be forgotten as soon as the WC starts where India may reach the semis but they wont be in the final.
