ঢাকা, অক্টোবর ০৮ (বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম)- ম্যাচ গড়পেটায় ‘জড়িত’ থাকার অভিযোগের তদন্ত শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ৬ আম্পায়ারকে সব ধরনের ক্রিকেট ম্যাচে সাময়িকভাবে নিষিদ্ধ করেছে আইসিসি।

ভারতের ইন্ডিয়া টিভি ছয় আম্পায়ারের ম্যাচ গড়পেটায় জড়িত থাকার দাবি করার পর আইসিসি এ বিষয়ে তদন্ত করছে।

বুধবার আইসিসির ওয়েবসাইটে দেওয়া এক বিবৃতিতে বলা হয়, তদন্ত শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত সব ধরনের আন্তর্জাতিক ও ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেট ম্যাচে ওই আম্পায়ারদের নিয়োগ না করার বিষয়ে একমত হয়েছে আইসিসি ও সংশ্লিষ্ট দেশগুলোর বোর্ড।

সংশ্লিষ্ট বোর্ডগুলোও জরুরি ভিত্তিতে এ ব্যাপারে তদন্ত করবে বলে বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়।

অভিযুক্ত ছয় আম্পায়ারে মধ্যে বাংলাদেশের নাদির শাহও রয়েছেন। তবে এ অভিযোগ প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন তিনি।

সোমবার ইন্ডিয়া টিভিতে প্রচারিত গোপন ক্যামেরায় ধারণ করা চিত্র দেখিয়ে বলা হয়, নাদির শাহসহ ছয়জন আম্পায়ার অর্থের বিনিময়ে মাঠে সিদ্ধান্ত দিতে কিংবা বিভিন্ন তথ্য আগেভাগে সরবরাহে রাজি ছিলেন।

এটি প্রচার হওয়ার পর বিশ্ব ক্রিকেটের নিয়ন্ত্রণ কর্তৃপক্ষ আইসিসি এই অভিযোগ তদন্তের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়।

Yeah his family is well known in BD cricket. His brother is Jahangir Shah Badshah and Nazim Shirazi is their cousin. So I think he will be back after some time.

His powers might work inside BD but he will find it pretty difficult to retain his ICC panel umpiring credentials..specially in today's India dominant cricket world. And even if they are narrowly found at fault by ICC panel, even his family connections can't help him rehab at BD domestic level....

We are talking about the issues in the article and cricketers are involved too (all part of the sting operation). Cricketers should not be allowed to bring call girls in their hotel room DURING a tournament. They can do whatever they want when not representing a team. This is because many times cricketers get call girls not money in return of spot fixing or match fixing. Just my personal opinion.
