Johnson succumbs to Petersen. Excellent, loopy delivery went right through his premeditated sweep. 9th wicket falls for Australia.

Great C&B from MJ removes AP and bring HA to the crease. RSA 32-1

SA blasting everything now.
Hopefully, we'll see an agressive ponting in the final innings. I'd like to see one last trademark pull shot

Mind boggling run-rate - but will give Aus a chance to get back into the game if either mishits/misses

Oh man this such a good counter attack. I was so shocked to see the score. Love this game plan.
I'd watch it if I wasn't so busy! Missing out on this!

Looks like Ponting won't be getting back to number 1 before retiring. At this point Aus will be lucky if they can somehow manage a draw like SA did last game.

I wonder if our Bangladesh batsman can play on these fast bouncy surfaces.

Australia's pretty screwed. You can never rule them out since they'll never give in but this looks too tough since there are 3 more days to play this out.

Wish I was watching this live. South Africa should try and get a 450-500 run lead and have around 7 sessions to bowl the Aussies out. This would be pretty special if they can achieve back-to-back series wins in England and Australia.

Due to the volatile pitch, seems like the SA want to make as much runs as possible instead of playing slowly and inevitably lose their wickets putting up a low score.

Yesterday on the lunch time Cricket Show in the Aus vs SA match they had a very brief segment on "International Matches". They were going thru the scorecard of the 1st ODI of BD vs WI and Slats was saying "Bangladesh actually won this match" and in a surprised tone gave brief details of the scorecard. And he also said "surprisingly comprehensive victory".
I love surprising people and being the underdog.

I was listening to ABC radio's live cricket commentary called ABC Grandstand yesterday. Here's a part of the conversion between Jim Maxwell and Drew Morphett:
Jim: "Amla and Smith holds the record of scoring the second fastest century stand in terms of run-rate behind Atapattu and Sanath Jayasuriya against Bangladesh at Colombo"
Drew: "Do Bangladesh count?"
Jim: "yes, they play test cricket"
Drew: "Do they?"
Jim: "Sometimes..hehe"

Its apparent that Australia are miles away from regaining that number 1 spot regardless of how hard they are trying. SA have so far outclassed Aus in this test match. Australia lacked penetration in this match. The two catches by Lyon and Johnson that brought wickets were absolutely brilliant though.
