Congratulations Marlon Samuels on Your Mammoth Test Double Hundred!
Debuted as a highly promising young player in late 2000 but those high expectations were rarely met. He was eventually dropped in 2008 after 7 years of what many felt to be chronic underachievement.
Then he made a comeback in 2011 as a somewhat better player until finally turning the proverbial corner this year. 2012 has been simply awesome for him and today's 260, though not chanceless, has been pure class. I hope and pray that his 2012 form continues until the end of his career.
Congratulations Marlon Samuels on your first test double hundred. May this be the first of many ...

Marlons Samuels is a more explosive batsman than Tamim , but the way he curbed that attacking instinct and played more number of balls than our entire team deserves appreciation.

The thread in the Windies board congratulating Raju got more responses. Very classy people!

To be honest some of them idiots take delight in WI losing because it suits their agenda against the board, coach and captain, so when someone does well against us they'll try and rub salt in the wounds, but never the less cheers for making this thread!! , Samuels was out of the game for two years after being given a harsh ban by the ICC over something really silly but he's come back and has been a world class performer for us in every format, he's finally become the batsman everyone thought he would be when he burst onto the scene as a quality 19 year old.

Congrats Marlon on beating us into submission and showing us once again who the boss is.
If our team wasn't getting severely bich slapped by opposition batsmen every time they took the field, I'm sure more ppl would've been in a mood to appreciate such innings.

There is nothing else in front to cheer other than Abul, so you know the mood here on BC. Samuels, Bravo, Chander all are real test guys, we have none close to them. Congrats, and surely there are many more to come.

Yeah well done on a flat deck and against a minnow sorry but true even as a Bangladesh fan. So disappointed that after 12 years of Test Cricket, still not 1 Bangladeshi players has even come close to a first double century for the team.

To be honest he murdered England in England a few months ago so it's not just a matter of doing it against lower ranked sides, England were number one at the time we played them.

A wonderful, diligent innings. I agree with patriot that this innings really demonstrated how a batsman can curb their natural instincts and stroke play.

Why u always use players nick name? Like raju, sourav, nazza?

You'd be surprised that Bangladesh aren't the only ones for example, India's Ganguly is usually called 'Dada' hehe but I see what you mean. The coming youngster of Bangladesh Anamul Haque is also known as 'Bijoy'
