Yes the score is what it was, but why didn't they bowl us out at the beginning stages of the 3 match series? The fact is we won the series and only in the last no result dead rubber game that was the WI score. So I think it's pretty obvious that we really didn't care about winning that game.

Tell that to Sammy and Co. and let's see if they agree to that or not.

You have to remember that Dhaka's pitch in that series was not really suited for us. Not too much turn for us and a good amount of bounce for your pacers. Which played towards your strengths while it played towards our weakness. Even the Chittagong Test, look at how you guys struggled. Why? Because the pitch played to our strengths and if we had more time that day, that game would've been interesting. That being said, credit to you guys no doubt because you guys ended up playing the better cricket and ended up winning both the important series.

One thing to note though, after that series, the curator for the Dhaka was fired after that series and then we got a new curator who laid down the pitches for the Asia Cup. Look how well we did in that tournament.

Again not saying we're the better team but we can prove to be a handful in our conditions.

Don't worry about it man, we'll see who's the better team on Tuesday.

I do however think that this tournament will come down to who has the better batsmen rather than bowlers. With those spinning wickets and both sides have alot of spinners, it'll come down to the team who has the better batsmen who can play through these conditions.

Agree with your point. The team that fights harder with the bat will end up winning the series. You guys no doubt have the much better batsmen but question is how well will they do in the matches? That's the key and will be interesting to watch.

Our bowlers may get unplayable, even Shahadat is in killing mood... .... so, yes it will come down to WI batting... Like to see a good fight from WI ... Or we won't be happy winning too easily......

I think our spinners will give u guys a run for your money, don't expect your spinners to be the only ones to do damage, last time Permaul was there he ripped through the bangladesh batting and we all know how dangerous Narine can get. So don't expect to benefit from those conditions considering we also have bowlers who can thrive in that condition as well.

You don't need to wait for Permaul and Narine. Rampaul and Edwards will finish the job with the new ball but will leave the tailenders for the spinners.

Dont know about West Indies, but Bangladesh would care if they get humiliated by a lower rank team regardless of surface, series results.

Maybe the fans. The players would take it as an upset, get bundled out for 40 against Turkmenistan second XI next day and boast about how they have just started to learn how to hold a bat.

I think DMan is letting his excuses be heard early. He will drop back to this once WI crashes out. Smart

I agree with that. You guys have a very balanced bowling attack that can attack from all angles. You got Best and Fidel who have raw pace, and Sammy whose an intelligent bowler despite his limitations. Of course Rampaul is there and has done fairly well. I'm not underestimating Permaul and Narine either. They might be inexperienced but as we've seen in the past, our batsmen are really vulnerable to players that we haven't seen before. We, on the other hand, heavily rely upon our spinners and a once in a blue moon performance from Shahadat. So we have our work cut out for sure.

^ Yup. They are very balanced alright. Narine is the trump card. Honestly, he fuzzes up all our equation. Now we can't attack with our spinners by making spinning tracks. None of our spinners are turners in the first place. They already got the ticks on pace over our "pacers." Gayle alone owns the whole batting line up.

Only way left for BCB is to botch up the WU games.

you guys have the only abandoned TESTS in history...this is a practice match and unseasonable rains have led to one day being knocked off.

Well Shakib and Elias are pretty good turners from the ball from what I've seen but so is Narine and the problem is our batsmen are more vulnerable to quality bowling than theirs. So no doubt a tough task ahead but no reason why we can't fight against them and at least make them earn it.

We're bat pretty good against spin. There was a lot of hype about Bishoo last year and he was quite ordinary (didn't even make the squad this time) bowled at least one half tracker per over. On the other hand Sunny had your boys in a tangle last time and you might have to go up against Haque Jr who also ripped through WI in the Caribbean in 2009.
