That awkward moment batsmen feast on the pitch and Gayle gets out cheaply.

i am guessing the idea is thus to not lose the series or give either side a chance to win. If the wicket was quick and bouncy it would play into WI hands. If it was a spinning top it would play into WI spinners hands as well and open the door for Narine etc.
As things stand with batting on this wicket, it requires batsmen to simply go and have a net in the middle. No more, no less. Both teams racking up MASSIVE scores on an easy paced, dry pitch with no grass. I can see a line of batsmen queuing up to get an innings on this track.
Unless the ball starts to turn sharply on day 4 and 5, the only team that can beat Bangladesh on a wicket like this, is Bangladesh. Job done.
And as long as batsmen don't try to launch the ball into the stands every few seconds, this match will be the dullest draw of all time. So I am not quite sure what this proves in world cricket, other than just don't get out and wait for a pie to be bowled. If you miss out on a straight forward 100 on this beauty of a batting surface, you will likely want to hang yourself!

However, Ian the thing is, in days past, we were incapable of batting well even on pitches like this. So it does show some improvement in the players' mindset at least, in my humble opinion.

Well when you pack the team with eight or nine batsmen what do you expect?

Did u guys realise that beside Mushy and Ryad, the rest of the players footworks is NULL!

The thing is Tamim and Sakib has scored runs in the English and southafrican conditions, so I am not too worried. And players like Nasir will find their own way to deal with it as they are exposed to different conditions

Still WI has a better Batting and bowling than us, if we could draw this match, it will be a good achievement for us...it will be very difficult to bat tomorrow....

Leave him alone man...why Best was bowling for WI?? We know he isn't that great, it's not that we have a Steyn sitting out there...let the ball get a bit older for the spinners to take over...

Now that BD took over WI total all of sudden everyone is whinning about the flatness of the pitch. If the pitch is really that flat (which it is) and everyone wants a result then why didn't WI, being the better side, try to score a bit faster and piled on runs? BD scored at a higher rate than WI....if any BD is the team who looks to be striving for a result....so shut it.
