Default Pitch appears to puzzle Bangladesh

Quote:
"The pitch is hard to read because I have never seen a pitch like this before," Hathurusingha said on the eve of the match. "We have to take the heat into account as well. The wicket is not going to be a fast bowler's paradise, that's what I can tell you.

"It is new for me. I don't know, may be for other people also. I am also waiting to see how it is going to play out."

It is not uncommon for the home team to have a say in the nature of the pitch but Hathurusingha said he had no "control" over the pitch for the first time. "I have no idea to predict this wicket. For the first time we have no control over what type of wicket this will be. We will try to select the team that gives us best chance to take 20 wickets."

From bdnews24:

True. The pitch was made in Kolkata and brought to Khulna by boat last week by sheikh hasina and srinivasan's henchmen.

And here Kohli is adjusting the pitch parameters to 101% daal roti and -10% maacher jhol.

The match is all but over. Bangladesh has no chance on this special Indian BCCI jana gana mana pitch. Sorry folks.

I like this pitch. Looks like it will have a little something for everyone and maybe not that easy to score initially

Its all mind game. Ofcourse they know whats going on with the pitch. If it was a genuine case of not understanding the pitch they wouldnt say it loud in media. The way hathuru and mushy acted its a give away that they wanted media to publish this news just to confuse india.

What does it really mean?
It means, teams could bundle down for an below average score and the very next day a game involving India could produce a total of 600+ runs.

All our home games (excluding last series *) involving India had batting friendly pitches and was high scoring, it's no secret, it's nothing new. Mullah used these series vs Ind to puff his avg.

I think BCB and Bangladesh should just stick to ODIs as Test is far too sophisticated for their confused mind. They never had a clue about anything as far as Test is concerned.

BCCI should take away BCBs Test status and do all of us a favour from further embarrassing ourselves. I know Mushy will put India in upon winning the toss come tomorrow. He will field two bowlers, of course.

Weather alone will determine the result and pitch would hardly matter.
