Default ****The Arafat Sunny Thread****

Decent slow-left-arm spinner, always economical. Outstanding numbers, even though its early in his international career. Very experienced player, one of the best in our domestic cricket, in terms of wickets and economy rate. So far, he has impressed a lot of us, with his method of keeping everything tight and making sure batsmen do not dominate him. I would say, he is our answer to the no.2 spinner in the team, even though we have Taijul Islam, who is promising talent and one day he will settle in the national side. Have you been impressed with Arafat sunny! This thread is all about him, our best slow-left-arm spinners, baring Shakib Al Hasan.

His quicker deliveries definitely seem a little jerky. Without the benefit of super slo-mo I'm loath to call anyone a chucker but BCB would do well to look into the matter _before_ he gets called in an international match.

His action is kinda suspicious but I hope we're wrong. BCB should look into it.

Yeah true, his action looks very bad. I watched the highlights and felt sometimes his throwing them.

He chucks. Its only a matter of time before he gets called for it. I hope he doesn't turn out to be like Razzak. After Razzak had to change his bowling action, he never got back to his old self.

He chucks and he knows it. Only a matter of time before he is called.

Too be honest, after watching him bowl now for 10 complete overs, his bowling action looks fine, it does look odd sometimes, but overall his action looks fine. I don't think he will be called in by BCCI for illegal bowling while we play against India. His been very economical today as usual.

Hate how ICC is throwing down bowlers all around the world. This game is not as balanced as it used to be. Bangladesh has the potential to go big in the coming years with proper bowling grooming and this is not a very inspiring story to see someone like Sunny getting called for suspicious action.

I'm afraid he chucks. I just can't understand why most South Asian off-spinners, including Ashwin, chuck. It must be a basic thing should have been eradicated when they were teens.

The trajectory of Sunny's cricket
career is slightly varied from the
usual path taken by Bangladesh
internationals. Many start too young -
in terms of age or domestic
experience - and fade away quickly.
Only a handful make the cut. Sunny
is among the few cricketers in
Bangladesh who got to the senior side
after 13 years of first-class cricket.
And he is still learning new tricks

Overall his action is fine. I think it's just his quicker delivery which seems jerky. But odds are, if you watch the highlights, you'll be seeing a lot of those because they get him the wicket. Could get called.

If he does well against India, Bcci will complain about his action for sure
