So we were part of undoubtedly the best T20 game and best Test match of the year. Enough time to get involved in the format of our specialty. And let's hope we are on the happy side of history this time...

What would like it to be? Exciting hghest ever run game? 500 by 501? Or a nail-biting cluster eff of a game? 19 wickets in less than 20 overs? It has to be one or the other, otherwise it wont memorable. ODI'S arent memorable anymore.

Really feel bangladesh needs to play more tests.

My brother Kagiso made his debut around the same time as Mustafizur....

I met with Pinak Ghosh today
He's one of the few players I have been following since 2014. I remember when he was MoM against Indian State team both in away and home in U16s and U17s respectively. So got chance in the U19s despite poor outings in the age level domestic tournaments.

So it was extra especial to see him.

One great Update : he looked slimmer than the last U19s WC. Not super slim but not that fatty size either. That's great.

I miss the part when BC used to be an adda town. People would communicate and share ideas and views. Now look around. It's just every man for himself, typing away furiously. Nobody reads, nobody listens, they just type, type, type. It supposed to be a two-way street. But that's how you'd get in trouble. So it's understandable. Engagement is highly discouraged

Lol Dilscoop, is this post in reference to your invitations sent out to join your group?

Sometimes I feel as if I'm alone on this forum...like Matt Damon in The Martian .

^ (correct thing would be to ignore you and type something else.)

Lol no it's not about some silly club. It's the general status of BC that's depressing. Threads on threads on threads, topics would be discussed in furious fashion. People would get heated and the conversations would go places. And that's when our team used to be ****. Fair to miss those vibe.

^^ well I think it's fair to say that it's a different climate on the forum.
Topics to discuss doesnt fit most members' niche....so it doesnt appear too bright or too funny to capture the attention of them...

I haven't made too many Islamic posts in Forget cricket for ages...that's why. Not even that, People would furiously debate about Ashraful All. Day. Long.

^^ that's why we should petition for Ashraful to return to the national side...in an effort to get those passionate fans to be as polarized as possible.

Only Ashraful can save Banglcricket

Bengalis in general are very down to earth soft hearted people....too many losses in those years would challenge that assumption and left most people extremely bitter and depressed. That's why people would argue and get irked quickly, plus Moderators at one point were very laid back...slowly they started getting very strict. a lot of those members quit or got busy with their lives and others were banned...that's why.

^ I already raised that ban-happy concer and urged to close the BC gitmo and ease up on the button. Nope. They banned couple of more active members by the look of it.

^^The limit to getting a ban haven't dropped. The tempers were flaring, maybe a few, few cuss words were said and that was that. End of story.

On the subject of a soft, gentle hearted fella...the forum might hve changed in terms of its diversity...and hence the lack of comradery...only decline would ensue...

It's only an assumption.

Sometimes I wonder if Haturi just got lucky because he had Mash to work with in LOI.

^ Already said that. It's about 90% Mash. If you say just like he lets Mash, he's letting Mush run the team, that's why it's different in Tests, well, then all the more blame goes to Hathuri for giving Mush the village idiot so much freedom and not implementing some of the things that work in ODI's into Test.

I hope Task and Fizz doesn't play test anytime soon until we find a proper captain.

I'd have them batting at the nets right now.

Btw which fool in the BCB said Rabbi can bat and can hit big, was it the same person who said Mosharraf is an all-rounder

So Saqlain Mushtaq will be helping England spinners in the India series.

Can't Bangladesh pull in a former batsman(SANGA, Kallis, or even Chanderpaul) to help with their batting.

Sanga- top order
Kallis-middle order
Chanderpaul- how to bat with tail

Regardless of what happens in the next couple of days, our cricket is in good hands, better hands than ever (players-wise, management has a lot catching up to do).

Sitting here, waiting for the days when the Fizz and the Mizz will bowl together in tendon and clean up batting order all around the world. Insert the drool emojis of all systems here:

Can't wait for the NZ series now...Fizz and Taskin should be playing!!!

1. Tamim
2. Kayes
3. Mominul
4. Riyad (Last chance)
5) Mushy
6) Shakib
7) Shabbir
8. Miraz
9. Sahid
10. Taskin
11. Fizz

12. Taijul/SS (depending on what we need really)
13. Hom (did well to retain his spot). /Mosaddek (I wouldn't want to throw him in this series in a TOUGH condition)/SS
14. Liton/Nurul (Back up Wicket keeper)
15. Rubel/Al Amin (Back up seamer)

Tail will still be weak but I hope our 6-11 work hard with the bat next several weeks...

I think we need to focus on improving our variety in our bowling department. We could make the following improvements:

1. Sabbir needs to have better control on his bowling. Having a leg spinner in the bowling department is vital for test matches.

2. Make Taskin and Mustafizur fit for test matches.

3. Find a pace bowling all-rounder.

4. Help Soumya Sarkar improve his technique and batting in general and also help him improve his bowling, he could be our 3rd or 4th seamer.

Once you make these improvements, added to hopeful fact that Sakib and Miraz is there for the long term, we can have 2 genuine fast bowlers, 1 good off spinner, 1 good left arm off spinner, 1 supporting leg spinner, 1 or even 2 supporting seamer. Lots of bowling options for test cricket that could help us get 20 wickets against the opposition.

From being unable to take 20 wickets to taking 10 in less than a session. Cray much!
