Key players let us down. You can't win matches this way.

Shak needs to step up

Lot of thinking need to be done ....

Mashrafee need to think about full retirement...

Sakib need to think about does he really wants to play for his country or not instead of goofing around

Rahim needs to know how to extend his innings after being set....

Tamim needs to take care of his run rate while holding in one end.... not one-or-another, we need both from him

Riyad need to master hoe to play lower end of the game, he comes late in the innings and he should take less time to be set and then should know how to accelerate the RR. Also he need to re-learn how to bowl few economical overs when the team needs.

With younger players, I can be patient, biut with these experienced players....I expect more from them in regular basis.

Ireland and Scotland receive boost with Bangladesh win

...A top eight place for Bangladesh – due to host the next year’s World Cup qualifiers - would make Ireland and Scotland favourites to co-host the tournament...

Zimbabwe are gunning for it too,and they have spinners' pitches.
But alas Zimbabwe is deep in debt.
You would have 2 back Ireland getting the 10th spot if its in Ireland.
Afghanistan have no shahzad for maybe 2 years, and its in 2018.

Tamim is such a jinx when it comes to interviews. He talked about Mominul and Soumya positively before and they lost their form. Now in the recent interview he was saying stuff like we have earned respect blah blah, and the team has started sucking collectively. Kufa numero uno

^Someone needs to tell him this, to stop opening his mouth and be diplomatic and down to earth in interviews. And play it down, humble type. because you are right it does seem he brings bad luck each time he opens his mouth with such interviews.

Good to have Sangakkara on board. Instead of Rustle Arnold.
Sanga is a calming influence with excellent command of the English language.

Shane Warne was mentioning again and again how match winners make all the difference. How Australia got Warner/Finch, India got Kohli...etc.

I kind of disagree with him. Cricket, after all like any other sports and military, is a team game. Every one chips in. In fact many of our home successes came when all of us really did chip in. You put your team first. Conversely, what would happen once you chop off the "head" that runs things? So yeah...don't agree.

Going to need to improve infrastructure if they want to co host a world cup.

'match-winner' is one of those lazy terms that get attached to any player who has a couple of outstanding performances, and then sticks to him for the rest of his career. Biggest example - shahid afridi.

But I think Warne sort of has a point. Many ODI batsmen can score at a 'natural' run rate, take risk-free singles, boundaries with loose balls, slash a few here and there... But there are a select few who can push the opposition to the limit, regardless of the match situation. Kohli, Pietersen (in the past), Steve Smith...

IMO it's getting almost impossible for a bowlers to be match-winners in ODIs these days. Even if you get something out of a flat pitch, the batsmen will be happy to play you out and score off the others. LIke Fizz the other day.
