Media Release
SAHARA CUP 2012: Shakib out of first two ODIs

Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan had an MRI scan on his right tibia bone in Khulna yesterday (Saturday) after the close of play on Day 4 of the second Test. The scan showed a stress reaction of the bone.

Team physio Vibhav Singh said: “We have decided that he will take no further part in the second Test match and will miss the two ODIs in Khulna.

“We will review his scan report with an orthopaedic specialist in Dhaka to decide the best management plan for Shakib.”

Since he's gonna miss the first two ODI's, let him go under the knife and get his knee operated if its a viable option

And do you think I wasn't pissed at that shot? But what's that to do with my post? People in general questioned his commitment. People were at his throat just coz he couldn't get 5 fers like muri murki as he used to get. Just take a look at his thread.
Again, shame on those who questioned his commitment.

We lost the first 2 matches. It will be interesting to see how we perform without our best player.

I don't think we've ever played any serious games (bar a few t20s) without him, let the hammering commence!

Yeah that's what I think as well. So I didn't actually react to the news. It really doesn't matter whether Shakib/Tamim/Nasir plays or not the outcome will be exactly same. We have to be extremely lucky to win a match or two here.

doesnt matter if all players injured or we bring back ashrafool, javed omar, akram khan etc. What we need is players who have guts, not losers.
