MashAllah he's smarter and more mentally balanced than Ashraful and that will make all the difference InshAllah. On a personal note, I love the fact that he speaks shundor Bangla. I find pom gana Bangla far more khyat than pom gana English.
Shundor Bangla to bolbey. Kushtia r chele na!

^ Ya that should be his number 1 concern right now. WI fast bowlers will continue to dish out short ball/bouncers at him for the remaining 3 ODI's. Also he was beaten by the ball quite a few times early on with the new ball, that's something that needs to be addressed. A lot of work to be done. I hope we get a specialized batting coach as soon as possible. By the time 2015 WC comes Nasir, Anamul, Mominul have to be ready to face fast bowlers in Australia.

what a gift to the country & to his parents.
Best thing about him is he puts high price on his wicket & got great ability in converting to big ones.

^ Nasir, Anamul, Mominul bad dao, is someone like Shakib even ready to face fast bowlers outside of the subcontinent? Unlike Tamim, his batting did not flourish in England in 2010 and I can't remember if he batted particularly well in South Africa the last time we visited. He's never played a Test in Australia either. They have the top pace attacks - not NZ and West Indies, who he has done well against. Wonder if he'll be able to cope up in WC 2015.

Really enjoyed his innings simply because after getting the fifty he buckled down and started accumulating the singles like most good batsman from other countries

^ And he's scored first-class half centuries in England too but I suppose I meant that exposure and consistency is key...

yet another positive from his innings, his ability to knock the ball around and get the 1s and 2s.
