Ian had something going with his first few reasons. He lost all creditability after saying "of course it is not true."

So by default, you win the BEST POST OF THE THREAD award.

Rabz gets consolation prize. Dillu's #5 was very close to medal but that Kanta post killed it.

Kanta doesn't kill anything, only thing she destroys is Shamim_Jinx.

5 simple straight forward reasons really.

1. West Indies bowling was piss poor - Apart from Rampaul , every other bowler bowled 'club level' length bowls and our Batsman took good advantage . West indies relied too much on Sunil 'T20' Narine who has been a major flop for them this series . Roach was poor and Andre Russel was and is a mediocre bowler who gets mostly 'gifted by batsman' kind of wickets.

2. Failure of Gayle and Samuels . Gazi's bunny Gayle didnt have a good time out there . He wanted to 'play off' gazi's over and attack the other bowlers. Mortaza didnt give him that and Gayle had to go back to the pavillion Gangnam style. Samuels at this very moment must be mentally preparing himself to counter Gazi but I dont see him being successful in the next matches.

3. Anamul Hoque

4. Khulna Pitch and the inability of west indies batsman to play good quality spin.

5. Shohag Gazi and Abdur Razzak - 13 wickets (65%) between these two . Tells you the whole picture really.

Hope Dhaka pitch plays the same as Khulna.

He doesn't go to school. Hasn't for years. Even longer than I've been away. Wait - I lie. He was in school recently - to teach though. Maybe what he taught rubbed off on the cricketers. After all his lectures weren't too far away from where they were practicing. That does it - Shuja bhai for the win(s).

And now you are ripping on fans' period cycle. That's our main job, to be emotional, irrational and crazy. Hell, people wanted Anam to get benched after making a 100! How crazy is that? This is after all a fan forum. We aren't professionals. And it isn't the case with only Bangladeshi fans. Fans are like this EVERYWHERE, in EVERY SPORT. And that's what makes us fans and you not reacting to it seriously makes you a professional.
The 4 points were sarcastic, bhai, highlighting how silly some thinking is...

I am here to help fans who are irrational and crazy. My postings are designed to put a professional spin on things so people can calm down and have perspective. Being irrational and emotional is an excuse.. like Tamim saying "I can't play any other way".

Anyhow, people will always misunderstand what's really going on in cricket. As long as no one takes themselves and ideas too seriously eh?

Fans are being sarcastic too. If you think someone here really believes we are winning because of the new jersey, you are only insulting their intelligence.

I think we should start at the grass root lvl. This is a wrong place to start. Like Tamim, it is too late to change our "natural game." Also, saying you know more than everyone else b/c you are a pro (which is probably true), probably isn't the best place to start. But yea, good luck... with that whole thing.

Now the game is in Dhaka though. How far is Khulna from Dhaka.

They've been consistently improving at home in ODIs, ever since the 4-0 whitewash (your tenure i.e.). That and getting a proper ODI XI in getting rid of mediocre players (Nazimuddin, Nafees, Kayes, Siddique, Rokibul etc.) and grooming in great youngsters like Mominul, Anamul and Shohag. Basically, it's selectors growing some brains.

PS: Don't think they're 'cosmetic wins'. BD need more test cricket and being consistent in ODIs is crucial in getting more tests too IMO. Although I hope the board takes some initiative in getting mor tests scheduled. They've competed well with Nazim, Junaid, Nafeez, now just replace them with Mominul, Anamul etc. and they'd do even better.

The real reason is that our batsmen have improved against playing the arm ball.

I assume he meant it only impacted the outside appearance and nothing intrinsic has changed, like how you would use the term cosmetic surgery. That's not your standard weird cricketism.

Interesting about cow corner - It's the area in between wide long on and deep mid-wicket where usually no one can hit. And the the joke is that you can have your cows grazing there peacefully and no hit will disturb them.

Rank turner uses rank as a prenominal adjective. Where it means absolute or complete - so a complete turner.

I find "silly mid on", "duck", "maiden" etc to be weirder and funnier.

Let's destroy this team and make a big statement to the Cricketing World on who's going to be the rising boss.

Now I remember seeing some players sitting in my classes at IUT. I now know that they thoroughly understood the nuances of "biomedical signal analysis/processing" that has helped them perform so well in this ODI series.

Selection of solid , stable upper order batsmen and batting order helped us to chase easily in the 1st ODI and to score a mammoth total in the 2nd . If SN, JS and NZ were batting in ODI , we would have lost both the matches. What you think Ian ?
