You have no other option right now. apart from few of his brain freezing moments Mushy actually does a pretty good job with his captaincy. But just like all the Bangladeshi players he goes on to prove himself a complete gadha sometimes. But all our players are guilty of that. They lack common sense at a crucial stage so you can't completely trust anyone with captaincy at this point.

He did the same with Sharapova in the Asia cup final and lost the cup. He has a tendency of doing nonsense. He did the same thing today again. Shohag and Riyad was bowling superbly. Both had 1 over left. The wicket is clearly favoring spin and MUSHFIQ had to bring Rubel? Completely nonsense.

Mash has been available for ODI for some time now. He might be the only player in the team who understands the game somewhat. As Mushy does not know much about captaincy, he follows the book (whatever book that might be).

He should stop keeping. In this way he can focus on his decision making and his batting. He is struggling to play that many.roles for sure

Yes, Mash has been available for a while now but can't play in tests. We can have 2 captains but really not sure how the players will react to having 2different leaders in the team. I am actualiy worrying about grouping and ego clash between the 2 captains.

Believe me ill be very happy if that doesn't happen

No. There is no one else ready to take on the captaincy. Riyad still fights for a spot, Tamim not ready, and don't wanna over burden your best player Shakib. Unfortunately, Mushy is the only choice at this moment. Koi din por por captaincy change korar kono dorkar nai.

We lost the game because Shakib wasn't playing. His batting and bowling is vital in our team and had he played, it would've been good enough to win. Naeem is useless! our batting line-up today just showed how inexperienced it is. Tamim very frustrated with him for not taking his game seriously, just drop him.

And he is probably too old to play this sport. We might ask him to coach the team.

And no. He should not be stripped of captaincy. He just won us two games and we are still leading the series 2-1

Stop dissing Mushy for everything.
No one said anything after the 2nd ODI.
This was in the card, we were going to lose. I you want to get mad at some one, be mad at Tamim, Nasir.
Now, Mushy needs to win the next game for us.

Samuels was playing safe then for his century and everyone knew, he will open up after his century....it's always difficult to hit a spinner....a spinner could have got his wicket in first ball...you can't present a pacer at that time.

He had a brain-fart. Sacking him isn't the solution, we have no body else. Stop making such threads after every L. That's what makes coach Ian Pont go nuts!

Meh. Knee jerk reaction from the fans...seen it way too many times. Can't deal with a loss after so many worse losses.

I am dishing him for using Rubel at that stage. Although the first 2 overs in the second spell only cost 7, it was a bad decision. The match was lost in that over.
WI might still have won, but Samuels might have run out of partners. Because of this silly mistake, the team never had a chance to test Samuels's partners. Worst of all, Mushy did it in the Asia Cup Final and did not learn. Thus, he may never learn from his mistakes.

I was ready to deal with a loss. Oh well, on to the next match.

Perhaps, our spin coach could be the off-the-field captain. I don't think he would have done this.

Bhaiya, if Mash was tonked around like that, we would have been yelling our lungs out since Mortaza does not a have a good track record bowling at the death....

no matter how we lose, damned if you damned if you don't. and if samuels hit the spinner for sixes we would have said, OMG, why no variation in bowling, he should have used a pacer...why did he take off rubel, he bowled soo good in the last two overs....

Yes, he made a mistake. Stop making it seem like he's the first captain ever to screw up. Funny thing is this thread probably wouldn't exist had we been 0 - 2 down in the series...

Now that I am done venting, let us see how the team responds. I expected WI to come hard at us in this match, but that did not happen. Will BD respond and win the next game in a convincing manner?

Changing captains as often as changing your outfit is not going to help this team. Good captaincy comes from experience, and obviously personal understanding of the game as well. We need to stick with one captain for the foreseeable future and see how they mature with experience. If we see Mushfiq making these same mistakes 2-3 years from now, then yea, we should consider removing him.

Your captain doesnt have to be your best player or a batsmen. Wat about Razzak?
