Can't read bangla, so who is injured? Our fitness sucks...we play 3 matches a year and our players get hurt. Why is this retarded BPL 4 weeks long? This BS tourney should be done and dusted in 2 weeks tops.

Both TIK and SAH are injured before the SL tour. Even if they play, others will have to pick up their play.

According to Shamokal, Dilshan may not play against us in SL...

I am worried about the recent comment by the physio that players don't manage their injuries seriously. Players have to stay professional!

I don't think this is happening because of lack of professionalism but due to club vs national team commitment conflict. With the influx of money in T20 cricket, this is bound to happen.

SL announced their Test squad. Angelo Mathews to captain in Test and ODI series. Chandimal in T20I.
20 Men Test squad: Angelo Mathews (capt), Dinesh Chandimal (vice-capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dimuth Karunaratne, Ashen Silva, Kumar Sangakkara, Lahiru Thirimanne, Mahela Jayawardene, Kushal Janith Perera, Jeevan Mendis, Kithuruwan Vithanage, Ajantha Mendis, Suraj Randiv, Nuwan Kulasekara, Shaminda Eranga, Chanaka Welegedera, Nuwan Pradeep, Dushmantha Chameera, Rangana Herath, Tharindu Kaushal.
Quote:
The 20-man squad for the two-Test series starting on March 8 has several fresh faces and some notable absentees from the tour of Australia. Thilan Samaraweera has been dropped, together with opener Tharanga Paranavitana and wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene. Ajantha Mendis returns to the Test squad, having last played a Test in May 2011 against England.
Samaraweera has signed up with Worcestershire for the 2013 county season, but had an inconsistent 2012, a year in which he averaged 32.50. He had a poor tour of Australia, where he failed to score a half-century in six innings. Paranavitana was part of the squad on that tour but didn't play a Test, with Dimuth Karunaratne being preferred over him. Prasanna Jayawardene's Australian tour was cut short by a thumb injury, but he hasn't been picked for the Tests against Bangladesh following his recovery. Chandimal will keep wicket.
The squad features four uncapped players, and six in all who are yet to play a Test: Batsmen Ashen Silva and Kithuruwan Vithanage, seamer Dushmantha Chameera, and offspinner Tharindu Kaushal are those yet to play international cricket. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kushal Janith Perera and legspinning allrounder Jeevan Mendis have played ODI cricket for Sri Lanka but not a Test.
Kumar Sangakkara's participation in the Test series is subject to his recovery from a fractured hand, an injury he suffered on the tour of Australia. Bangladesh play one warm-up game, two Tests, three ODIs and one Twenty20 international on their almost month-long tour of Sri Lanka.

I'm surprised nobody has brought this up but don't you guys think that we should've asked for another practice match before the Tests? Just 1 match and we're heading straight for the real thing. We need more match practice.

Obviously not all those guys will play. SL is rebuilding and given that their team is so old, this squad selection has been well received by SL fans commenting on cricinfo. You know that Dilly, Sanga, Jaya, Herath, Kula, Wale, Mendis, Matthews are auto picks. That leaves 2-3 youngsters they are likely to pick for each match.

Asaad if you could read Bangla, you'd know Dilly is going to ask selectors to sit him for this series. Seriously - that's the final frontier for you. shikhe felo Bangla.

56 letters in the alphabet...it would take ages! Some of the letters also look impossible to write. But it is worth investing in just so I can read the sports section!

Bangla is easier to learn than English. It's a phonetic language and all the vowels (shôrobôrnos) and consonants (bênjonbôrno) have just one sound.

Enamul is a MUST - did anyone see Anamul's stumping? Beautiful flight.
I think they might just keep Mofees for his BPL batting
