Bangladesh lost Shakib al Hasan early in the battle due to injury. Sri Lanka was also rocked by a last minute crisis. But after the drama put to rest a new captain, young, unproven players, the unavailability of Sangakara and Mahela, poor morale due to contract disputes, a lack of match preparation: ancient Chinese military general Sun Tzu would say that these are ideal conditions for Bangladesh to strike. But can Bangladesh really step up and create history?

Ya agreed. Not until recently, we couldn't even dream of a Test win because our team was that bad. Now we're starting to perform better with both bat and ball.
