Nasir averages a healthy 44.28 at the moment while the new boy Mominul averages 52. Interestingly, Shakib, Mushfiqur, Mominul and Nasir have been averaging over 50 the last one year. If I add Ashraful, Bangladesh currently has 5 batsmen averaging over 50 in the past 12 months.
Loving it ^^^

Nice read too

I'm mostly worried about the Tests. 1 because we're not as good of a Test team as we are as an ODI team and 2 because we're playing in Harare. The T20Is and ODIs are in Bulawayo which suits our style more. Harare, however, has more pace and bounce on the wicket and not much turn. So our spinners have to make sure to be disciplined and draw them to play bad shots. Also our pacers have to give some type of support. Then of course our batsmen will have to bat sensibly and not lose wickets.

Zimbabwe are a side that is continually distracted with all their off field issues. There is no excuse to not beat them. In fact, losing even one game in any format will be a failure unless its a T20. We must win 5-0 across Tests and ODIs, and really should target a 7-0 clean sweep. I believe we can do it as the team is focused and confident with Mushfiqur at the helm.

The article was a good read, however, at the end the writer suggests that M-Ullah be replaced by Ashraful which sounded a bit odd to me. How can a VC be removed from a team and why can we not keep both Ash and M-Ullah in the team. The stats relied upon in the write-up were great.

One can easily remove a VC as easily as removing the title VC - it is after all not a permanent hereditary title no matter what our selectors might be thinking. If you can hire, you can also fire.

Bangladesh has more consistent batsmen and quality spinners in a team with less dead weight than most of our past. Zimbabwe has been improving as a cohesive unit despite challenges. I don't see a clean sweep in our favor here, but a fairly comfortable series win nonetheless. There will be some close contests.

Not sure we can get 20 wickets without Shakib bowling.
