Default Zim Series: Stump mic and players

For some reason, the stump mic is very loud and it picks up every little thing the players says on the field. I think it will be like this for the rest of the series. It's annoying at times but it also keeps the viewers engaged in the game by listening to what Mushy and others are saying.

So please share if you hear anything interesting/funny. I saw parts of the game and I heard --

1. Mushy saying to SN, "ektu norachora koro". SN was fielding at bat/pad.
2. Bowlers refering to fielding position as "oita", Gazi said to Mushy, "oita re aro shamne anen".

Welcome to Zim series. More to follow. I remember Shakib swearing to Rock when missed a direct hit I think it was when we played 5 ODI's only

As you can see Holden (Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye?) that Mushy refers to our players as 'that' implying that they are an object. So rude of him. Thats why we don't win games

I hope it (underlined) is sarcasm.

When we were playing among friends/classmates, x rated name calling was part of the game, especially when someone made a mistake. Be it in soccer, basketball, cricket, volleyball, hockey or any other sports. When you get close, some of the these stuff are easy to digest. I am sure the players are very close fraternity.

^^^ Gadha,Goru is a norm. I am not going in to X-Rated stuff. But I am surprised how cricketers use some crappy X-rated words to refer another team member.

The word "that" may be used for tactical reasons too. Like you don't want the batsman to hear directly from you that the slip or the short leg is coming in front a bit. So it's quiet legit to say, "oitare ektu shamne anen". The batsman might be deceived, if he didn't notice that the fielder has moved. It may not at all be disregard to anyone as #Bangalipagol indicated.

That can be one of the question that Zeesan can ask when he is interviewing a BD cricketer.

after the new ball was taken a ball was driven to dee extra cover. the fielder returned the ball in one drop to mushy.

mush told "direct haate throw kor, drop dis na, notun ball to, kal sokaleu notun rakhte hobe"

translation: throw direct to my hand, not after a drop, this is the new ball, and we need it stay as new possible tomorrow mornng

That's the reason behind ^^^. Mentioning names means helping the opposition batter to be aware of the fielding changes.
