Default Next group of players who should get a callup and recall?

For me (just my thought and opinion)

Nazmul - Need him urgently. Look at meth, not fast at all but accurate, we desperately need that. Dont know why he was dropped for the final of Asia cup. Seemed like getting the wickets of Dilshan and Sanga was a mistake.

Taskin - Our pace department will depend on his young shoulder. A must for the New Zealand series.

Babu - Has an aggressive action and is quite nippy. Looks good maybe he is matured and ready now. Anything over SRK is good. Can be a pinch hitter too. What did management and selectors see in Abul over him?

Ayub - Why wasn't he given a chance? I mean he has runs under his bag and deserves a shot. Has mentality of building a long innings unlike Riyad.

Anamul - Need him in our XI wouldnt mind him at 4 in test. Could be easier for him when the shine his gone a bit at 4 knowing his footwork is limited.

Shabbir (T20s and ODI) - Why was Zia picked and not him? Has a technique that is easy on the eye and plays best at 6/7 with a stiff rr. Just what we need in shorter formats.

Your thoughts??

^^^ Good selection of players. Mosharof Hossain Rubel in the shorter format could be tried as well as Shamsur Rahman, Kamrul Islam- the left handed quick bolwer
btw what happened to Noor Hossain the leg spinner? He could have spent some quality time with Saqlain to learn some basics (even though Saqlain is an Offie)

I think we should try Naeem Islam out specifically for tests. Good temperament, just what we might need.

Shabbir really needs to be in the team for the limited overs format. Him and Nasir would be a power packed lower order combo.

Nazmul really should be a permanent pacer in the team. Taskin definitely is one for the future.

FYI, Nazmul wasn't dropped in the Asia Cup final. He picked up an injury during the death overs during the match with SL. And about recalling Nazmul. I too want him to be a regular in the national side. But our selectors gets very horny when they see a pace bowler with 135 km/h speed. So they fell in love with Abul over Nazmul. It's sad but true. Nazmul will eventually get a call up. I'm not sure if he's injured at the moment or not. Probaby is, or else he would've been in the ODI squad.

For some players mentioned above

Naeem - I had hopes for him, yes he should get a chance, but his footwork is as bad as it gets. He would have a bad time in alien conditions, such as this one in Harare, he did work hard to get a shot up till Windies series.

Mosharaf Rubel - Forgot about him, didn't really take me by interest in bpl. Would go for saqlain sajib instead but id stick with enam for a bit. No emergency to rush him in. We are looking at what we need badly, which is good pace bowlers, top order test players and a finisher in ODIs and T20S alongside Nasir.

Shamsur - Really good sweep and that's about it. Nothing caught my eye. Possibly another Nazim to me. Deserves a go in T20s and that's about it.

Milon - That over against Gayle possibly ruined his chances lol but jokes aside I really cant understand what caught Rinat bhais eye. 2 good innings of like 20 and a couple 6's. nothing special, even Zia on his day can top that.

And as for Noor and Kamrul I really haven't seen them at all. Noor is young, too young, let him develop, dosent deserve call up as of yet, no rush.

He is accurate and not fast, like meth as i mentioned. He just need to get it on target and the conditions will do the rest. He also can bowl slower balls, yorkers too.

We all know he is accurate. That doesn't answer my question. If he can get swing on Zim wickets and be accurate as well then he might be a real threat to the batsmen.

How is this a bashing of Riyad?? I am just giving my thoughts on who should get a chance. Riyad has been poor and we need to find someone to fill his slot or put him under pressure in the future. Removed what you considered bashing..

He can definitely swing the ball. A lot more than Rubel or Shafiul

There is two Kamrul Islam.

One is also known as "Kazi"-left arm medium fast. 24/25 I think.

The one is known as "Rabbi". Much younger and he is a Right arm medium fast. But, AFAIK, hour is currently injured

taskin, babu, the 2 kamrul's, marshall ayub and shuvagata are also good prospects, asif ahmed, soumya, tasamul haque are also some batsmen to look at. shabbir for limited overs, anamul obviously and nazmul getting more chances would be good.

agree with those mentioned in the OP. also add Soumya and Marshall and Shabbir for limited overs.

At the moment, Anamul doesn't have a spot in the Test side unless its to replace Jaharul as an opener which isn't warranted based on performance, nor is that Anamul's natural position.

Enough of this bringing in new players, using them for a few matches and binning them bs.

Don't bring in new players for a while.

We need to call up some old horses who have greatly helped us in the past but have been mysteriously dropped in the Siddons era and BCB have forgotten about them :

Syed Rasel
Md. Sharif
Alok Kapali
Aftab Ahmed ( T20 ? )
Rajin Saleh
Dhiman Ghosh

nazmul doesnt get too much swing in the air but he can move the ball off the seam bothways. though basically he tries the ball that comes in to the right hander as his stock ball and the ball that goes away as variation.

We are only going backwards by selecting these guys..Dhiman in bpl looked terrible and Aftabs laziness has cost him his career. Had hopes for Rajin but as no sign form as of late and Alok is a BIG No No.
