Tamim once again sets the trend. .... imagine how it would have been if he would have capitalized on the dropped catch and remain not out at the end of the day's play with a century under his belt.

They couldn't yet repeat that 1st Test 2nd innings batting against Pak, in any of the later test matches. Can't expect every time TI & IK will do it, but some pair amongst the first 7 should always stand up with such innings/partnership, that's what we are missing in test.

Scoring 50s partnerships isn't enough in test matches. May be ok for ODIs. One 100+ partnership should always be there in every innings. That's the transformation we need in our test cricket. That will take us to the next level. We are currently stuck into 50 partnerships. Which is of course an improvement from the past. But need a little more.

I'm sure we will have it soon. Just need to play a few more tests.

They didn't quite throw wickets away this time. They simply didn't prepare to face part timers and the team plan was just to wait for bad balls but when that arrived they didn't have clue what to do with it?

I think we have played enough tests already, nearing 100 tests in our history if i am not wrong

Our test team lacks guile. They don't look like they have turned up to win, but to somehow escape with a tame draw

They have been facing Duminy for the past few weeks already! How much more preparation do they need

Yes, my fantasizing. Gotta accept reality. When he played that shot and got dismissed, this were my brother's reaction:

"F...g dumbass." In the Red Foreman tone.

I hope that they are throwing their wickets away like throwing away anchors. It's all for the good. Saving of the Ship.

Shakib's out was also poor shot. His bat was just dangling and that was never a good footwork & a proper defensive shot. Specially while the ball was swinging at that time. Mushy was ok but nothing extraordinary bowling there too .. Many of these outs could have been avoided. But now no point ..

Hope tomorrow Nasir can add some quick runs ...and then we will need to do a very good bowling & fielding to avoid embarrassing loss. Chances of winning is now almost gone, but let's see the pitch tomorrow.

Chances of getting us allout tomorrow is very slim if not NILL.

It was suppose to hit the coast last night.

Looking at the highlights again in the fresh light of day, I still think there was little Shakib and Mushy could have done about their outs. Mushy was hard done by a contentious umpiring decision while playing a defensive shot to a good delivery. Shakib also played a defensive stroke and tried to adjust to play in line with the ball but it was a very good delivery - it had reverse swing, bounce and Morkel's pace.

Didn't seem like they 'threw' their wickets away so much as being eked out by good bowling. TI, Riyad, Liton....I'd say they were the ones who were careless.
