In last 4-5 years Zim is not playing good cricket at all. For last 2-3 years we are playing better cricket than them. Then how we lose in Zimbabwe this series ?
1. Subcontinental teams are poor outside subcontinent. Specially in pace friendly wicket. So we did worse against them. Just call them in continent you will find how poor they are against us.
2. In all format we are improving but so far we are not far above them to beat then in tests in their pacey backyard.

Not only their players played better cricket than us, their team management and selectors also performed better than ours. The result is in front of you.

I share the same feeling, BD played really poor cricket, gifting their wickets away, Zim took full toll of it.
Our performance reminds me of how NZ performed during Banglawash, so it's a combination of our poor indisciplined performance & Zim making most of it.
Yesterday's match was another great example , after Sakib & Shams's dismissal we could have easily won it but we choked although there was no pressure.

Players are close, but our players play carefree and care less. Obviously they don't pay any attention whatever head coach has to say...

Based on the the ODI and T-20 series performance I feel that the following few areas needs to be worked at:

1) Number of dot balls/ running between the wicket-- almost all the Bangladeshi batsman rely on big shots and are not apt at changing strike. Zimbabwe displayed great skills in milking runs and releasing pressure in the last two ODIs.

2) Ground fielding--- Only in the last T 20 the fielders actually put an effort to stop quick singles. This should be the norm for all matches..and not exception

3) Calm Head and Professionalism-- Except Nasir Hossain, none of the Bangladeshi batsmen looked calm and composed. In first T-20 as soon as couple of batsman got out, the rest panicked. Whille fielding in last 2 ODIs, as soon as Zimbabwe had a good partnership, the body language became negative and it seemed that everyone has given up. This happened due to lack of playing competive matches in domestic leagues, professionalism comes with practise and coaching .

While that is true. I watched a good bit of the 2 ODIs we lost, and it wasn't the singles by the ZIM batsman that killed us. It was the boundaries every over. ZIM was easily going at 6-7 runs an over in the first 20 overs both games to easily wrap the match up by lowering the RRR to just 4.5 for hte rest of the innings with PP and slog overs to come. Our bowlers bowled rubbish to concede a boundary every single over, not to take anything away from ZIM batters who still had ot put that s**t away.

Our batsman batted without any intent whatsoever, threw their wickets away, and scored 250 on pitches were 275-280 was the low end of par, and any decent side would have topped 300. Maybe the pitch became easier to bat on in the afternoon, but that is no excuse. We should be crushing ZIM at home, and beating them convincingly with an occaisional loss away.

This was an awesome post. Thanks for the laughs. I see this post wasn't banned, so there is nothing wrong with it. Obviously he/she got carried away later on with some personal brickbats or obscenities. Ahh,such a shame.

One series is not enough for a ranking. Yes, ZIM kicked our behind in this tour. (Anything less than a series win should be considered as such.) However, we rank 9th in tests and ODI and 10th in T20. Clearly, we stink in T20; Ireland is above us.

A good series against NZ could catapult us to no 8 in ODI. Every resource should be used to get the team in a position to do that.

Let us admit to mental hospital.

Yes they played better than expected and we played worse than expected.

But we played in unfamiliar conditions and we played against 13 players. And the end result, even though a disapointment, the end result was still with-in a striking distance, no way ZIM clearly dominated us.

What in your opinion is domination?

Zimbabwe bossed us in the first test. They bossed us in the last 2 ODIs.

Only the 1st T20 result was within a striking distance. they rest were convicing wins.

1st test-335 run loss, and zimbabwe also declared with 3 wickets left
2nd ODI-Lost by 6 wickets and plenty of overs to spare
3rd ODI-Lost by 7 wickets and plenty of overs to spare. Infact, they had so many overs, that waller decided to score no run of an over to let sibanda score a 100.
1st T20- T20s are usually close, so doesnt matter

Yeah I have to agree with Mohoram bhai. No excuses. We cannot use biased umpire's decision or lack of living condition as excuse. At the end of the day. they are as good as of a team as BD on paper.

Not sure what it means "striking distance"?
Were we able to strike? Does striking distance mean we split points?

Not sure what we are so happy about being in striking distance.

ZIM barely win 1st T20 which we should have win, We win 2nd T20 easily.

Yes they win the ODI series by 2-1 and that's it, but I seen no clear cut domination by them.

the series is a disapointemnt .. yes.
clear cut domination by ZIM? No... absolutely NOT

toss was so very crucial in the ODI series, we saw how the wicket became batting friendly later on, we saw how easily NAs,Ryad & Razzq were batting.

But I think there was a huge lack of discipline shown by our batsmen, whereas Zim looked to have a plan and stick to it.

There is a batsman named Kohli who seems to have the same trait.
