Congrats to Zimbabwe. Huge upset by them and the 1st time they beat Pakistan in 15 years. Always good to see an underdog winning

wow, just found out, congratulations to Zim.
and lol @ Pakistan.

But I don't think Zim can do this again to Pak after they were badly whitewashed by a new look Indian team.
and no matter what we could never beat this Pak team even if we were chasing 144

PS: Misbah in ODI is in some unbelievable form. It's a shame that Pak are still going with mediocre to average scores despite of such regular contribution by Misbah.

They are probably already blaming Misbah on this loss, poor guy is the scapegoat for every time they lose

Wouldn't be surprised if the advice from the Indians had anything to do with beating Pakistan

didn't even notice faisal iqbal is in the test squad, why are they making these ridiculous selections? seriously, faisal iqbal? youngsters like umar akmal, haris sohail etc are getting left out because of this guy, how are these selections going to benefit pakistan cricket in anyway? there's no short term upside and certainly they've had enough opportunities to realise there is no long term upside either.

Great batting from hafeez 136* from 130 & pak 299.
And interestingly zim bowler gave 20 wide=20 extra run + 20 extra ball

I know Zimbabwe are doing well, but cannot get myself to like them just as I cannot like Pakistan. Hobson's choice par excellence.

As Jpshua wrote in Dhaka Tribune:
Quote:
It is wonderful to see some sense in a Bangladeshi about Pakistan and the Pakistanis. What strikes me as very odd is the fact that the British are never remembered and rebuked for their atrocious rule lasting over 200 years in Bengal! My personal understanding is that the British rule caused Bengal more distress than any other but people do not understand. After all, it is through the treachery of our own people (Mir Zafar) that we lost our land to the cruel colonialists who now boast in their museum about the defeat of Shiraj ad Doula and Tipu Sultan.

Edit: Apologies in advance to derail the topic with my rhetoric.

I've seen enough from ZIM now to not feel as bad about us losing to them 1-2. They very nearly beat NZ (who have won in Brisbane and SL and almost drew a series against ENG) and they've pushed PAK pretty hard before as well.

They are clearly a team that are very at home in their own conditions, and touring ZIM is not easy given the poor accomadations and facilities. They're pushing PAK without Taylor, Williams, Jarvis, and Cremer.

Ya I feel the same way. It hurt when we lost to them in the Test match and then the ODI series but now we can see that they're also giving Pakistan a hard time. Obviously we should've won the ODI series still but we can also see its not very easy.

Btw, good to see Zimbabwe pushing Pakistan hard here. Hope it's a tight finish.

I hope ZIM beats PAK. they will already leapfrog us in the Test rankings. the more pts they earn, the more we get when we beat them 2-0 at home.

What a fight shown by the Cricketers who are yet to be paid. Hopefully our flat and car winning cricketers are taking notice because pretty soon we will run out of excuses when all the sides start outperforming us.

We should stop paying massive bucks to our players. Only then they might actually win vs top teams...just look at Zim.

Just look at the DPL, a C class player is getting paid half a million, and they are probably players like Kayes or even worse.
