NZ = 4
India = 0

India needs to work on bouncy pitches, like their neighbor!

I am laughing so hard! We blanked this Kiwi side 4-0 and 3-0 in the last two series we played against! Oh wait we actually also beat India, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies last time we played them and they question our cricket standards. Just makes me laugh thats all!

Look at Cricinfo - how they portrait Bangladesh's innings defeat to SL.

Just few weeks back, England lost to Australia by innings and cricinfo's headlines were very different then!

The winless drought
overseas continues for
India. It's now been 8
ODIs and 10 Tests
without a win. They
have another chance
to set it right in the
Test series coming up.

The next Indian in the 8000 runs club In my estimation look t he kohli. No other Indian comes close. He will probably be the fastest.

Well done to NZ. No doubt they should be one of the favorites in the WC. As for India, I always thought this team was overrated and more than deserve the title of being home bullies. They just boost their stats and home and then lose when they play on sporting tracks. The only quality players this team has is Kohli and Dhoni. The rest are pretty ordinary.

We need to start quietly lobbying with ICC member countries to consider revoking India's test and/or ODI status after this shambolic performance in NZ (as well as other overseas performances). Let's see how they like it when the shoe is on the other foot.

India could not cope up with two new balls rule, will never be able to. With two new balls Indian seamers could not take much advantage because in India balls don't stay new for long and bowlers are better old-ball-bowler. Spinners are in the same boat and they don't have any surprise element as that of Ajmal. On the other hand, thanks to two new balls, opposition can throw bouncers against Indian batsman till the end and only Kohli and Dhoni looks solid against them. The rule would probably stay till next World cup and India desperately need Pujara up in the order. I am not sure where from India will get 3 more batsmen. Given India's strength (!) and weaknesses, I think the best bet right now is to go for a change in rule ... Indian Administrators are more likely to be successful than the cricketers ...
Having said that, India is probably in the easier group in coming World Cup. Even if we leave SA match (no chance of winning), India gets to beat Pakistan, WI, Zimbabwe and Ireland - which still looks feasible. Three other teams good in those conditions Australia, NZ and England (?) are on the other side as is the better performing subcontinent side SL.
