Default We've crossed 80 points in the ICC rankings!!!

This is the first time we have crossed 80 points in the ICC ODI rankings. We are now officially among the big boys of world cricket in terms of ODIs. We are on 83 points, 1 point below NZ who are on 84 points and only a few points behind WI, who are on 89 points. Still a while to go before we get 100 points and can say we are amongst the elite 5 teams but we will slowly get there i feel

Don't worry NZ and WI will easily get more points given that they will play consistent cricket and we'll be doing NONE for the next 3 months!

Have we? I was under the impression that this was the highest number of points we've ever aggregated. If not, can someone tell what was please?

True. In fact, we had passed NZ before and were no. 8 for a short period before NZ passed us again.

Did some research and it does seem like the most amount of points we've ever had. We did pass NZ before after the 3-2 series win against WI, but we only reached 77 points, and stayed around that mark until now. http://www.thesportscampus.com/20121...c-odi-rankings

I think 84 was our 2010 peak.

Oct 2014 we were at 68.

Now 93 will take a lot of losses to Assaociates to fall under 80 again. We have secured parity with top 8 permanently pretty much.

We'll jump closer to 100 when 2014 gets wiped out.

We should play Ireland later next year or whenever we have a long gap. I don't think we should be afraid of losing to associates anymore

According to BC points calculator after today's win we should have 95 points. If we win the last match we'll have 97 points only 1 behind England

With the win today, we will have 96 points. England at 6th with 98 (lucky they won the series against NZ, otherwise we have been 6th after today)

Sad no more odis till December. But hoping we get 3 against Australia

I wonder why would any team want to come to Bangladesh and get Banglawashed??

We have to offer some kind of assurance that once the series is in the bag we won't go for the wash

Who are we playing in December? Thought we didn't have anymore ODI matches scheduled for this year.

Just promise them SS won't bat at a sr higher than 150+ and Mustafizur will limit himself to only 2 wickets per match
