ALRC is happy to announce group therapy sessions for all active members for the next few weeks in order to prevent permanent brain cell damage, insanity and loss of memory due to bd cricket induced trauma.

This thread is share your feelings/emotions/frustrations of re-living the nightmare that was Asia Cup, T-20 WC and the India ODI series through the current West Indies series.
i) How did the recent loss make you feel?
ii) Did you actually believe we would win after WI were 35/5?
iii) Are you ready for the next two losses?
iv) Will you skip work or stay up late to watch the matches?

plz share

I know why you choose to have your little group therapy sessions in broad daylight....cuz you are scared of the batsman.

Wanna know how I got so scarred? Mushfiqur was….a drinker of Heineken. And a friend. And one day he goes off crazier than usual. Pollard gets a cricket bat to defend himself. He doesn’t like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the bails off the stumps, laughing while he does it. Turns to fans and he says “Why so hopeful?” Comes at Taskin with the ball,”Why so hopeful ?” He sticks the ball in Taskin's hand. “Let’s get em out for a duck so that Al Furqaan can finally get a hardon for cracking the 90 mph!” And….. Why so hopeful?

Solid speech Zee. I hear you. Don't understand you but hey! I hear you!
we have become the anti australia of the 90s. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Indeed... i think it is an exceptional talent shown by the tigers considering the number of times we had various teams like Srilanka 78/8, Afghan 90/5.. west indies 35/5, and india 100 odd all out. To manage to earn defeat in all those matches required tremendous determination to fail. It is truely a rare ingredient that was once only found in our transportation ministry and Dhaka mayor's office. We must accept and understand that we are witnessing true talents/geniuses at play here. Let us simply admire the systematic chaos and find our inner peace.

Jadukor : My wife was an alcoholic. Mean fin' drunk. S/he'd come home hammered, looking to whale on Orphy's wife. So I'd provoke him, so he wouldn't go after layperson and Faguneragun. Interesting nights were when he wore his rings.
Zeeshan: S/he used to just put a belt, a stick, and a wrench on the table. Just say, "Choose."
Jadukor: Well I gotta go with the belt there.
Zeeshan: I used to go with the wrench.
Jadukor: Why the wrench?
Zeeshan: Cause screw her, that's why.
Jadukor: Your imaginary girlfriend?
Zeeshan: Yeah.
[pause]
Zeeshan: So, uh, what is it, like, Zeeshan has an attachment disorder? Is it all that stuff?
[Jadukor nods]
Zeeshan: Fear of abandonment? Is that why I unfriended Kabirda?
Jadukor: I didn't know you had.
Zeeshan: Yeah, I did.
Jadukor: You wanna talk about it?
Zeeshan: No.
Jadukor: Hey, Zee? I don't know a lot. You see this? All this ****?
[Shows the match highlights, and posts on his wall]
Jadukor: It's not your fault.
Zeeshan: [Zeeshan shrugs] Yeah, I know that.
[Zeeshan averts his eyes to the floor]
Jadukor: Look at me son.
[Zeeshan locks eyes with Jadukor]
Jadukor: It's not your fault.
Zeeshan: [Zeeshan nods] I know.
Jadukor: No. It's not your fault.
Zeeshan: I know
Jadukor: No, no, you don't. It's not your fault.
[Jadukor moves closer to Zeeshan]
Jadukor: Hmm?
Zeeshan: I know.
[Zeeshan stands up, trying to keep distance]
Jadukor: It's not your fault.
Zeeshan: Alright.
Jadukor: It's not your fault.
[Zeeshan closes his eyes, he's fighting for control]
Jadukor : It's not your fault.
Zeeshan: Don't **** with me.
[Zeeshan shoves Jadukor back]
Zeeshan : Don't **** with me, Jadz, not you!
Jadukor: It's not your fault. It's not your fault.
[Zeeshan breaks into sobs. They hug]
Jadukor: **** them, ok?

- Just expect Bangladesh to lose rest of the matches, in that way you don't need therapy.
- When our batsman or bowler doing well you should know its just happens in the game for short period of time and does not mean we will win the match.
- When we got opponent for 50/8 they can still manage to get 200 and we will still lose the match
- When we are 200/1 we can still manage to another 20 run to make 220/10 and lose the match by 5 wicket.

BD team recently had a session with a psychiatrist, result ---> 34/5-->179/6--> BD lose

so don't think this grp therapy will change anything

And JAdu bhai, how is your "Won't watch the game until we win" therapy going?

I'm a former addict...haven't been watching matches regularly since the Srilanka series. I tend to watch the first match and after that check scores every hour; if I sense a real fight at any point I start watching, which hasn't happened much off late. Watched most of this match and had a bad feeling something like this could happen when Pollard walked into the crease unless his innings was nipped in the bud. Worst thing about a loss like this in the beginning of a series is it demoralizes the team and makes it tough to recover from esp outside the SC. This one really hurt...expectations have changed...not looking for wins now only expecting better consistency from certain individuals

Less than 24 hours and no one wants to open match thread! That's some good therapy

1) been there done that, at least were competing. We could be getting killed by Canada in a world cup.
2) yes I did, but I feared us losing.
3) hopefully we can win a dead rubber like in 2011 home series.
4) tomorrows game I will. But have to leave early for a wedding - if the girls/bride don't look good enough its going be a waste - I'm missing the game to go gawk. Mondays game I'll catch on replay as I'm driving back home.

I think our players can make good comedy show. Like two players crash on to each other and start losing wicket one by one like first match. Super star nasir already posing.

Roman bhai here is a list of remedies for you:
1. remove the power plug from your router and try to imagine you are going through a power failure in Dhaka
2. set the clock one day early
3. watch the game in 3D glasses with Mile's Jala Jala Jala ai mon jurey blasting out from the speakers
4. Switch to "Eto koshto keno valobashai" by Hasan during match presentation
5. Find the last 8 games BD played on youtube and watch them (this process is called cricket detox). Warning this might cause you to hate cricket as a sport in general
6. Ask idumb about his marital problems during game time (8 hours will fly by in no time)

ai shob brilliant suggestion kaaj na korley send me a private message.. oshud pathai dibo

Signed. Isam said it in his latest article. Yet Mushi the captaino doesn't understand.

Miraz, Isam, Doc, Anyone and everyone: Please ask Mushi when you have a chance the following questions.

How can a captain assist to get a wicket?

Looks like Habibul Bashar has taught you well in captaincy 101. Is that true?

The team was doomed before it left dhaha.
Taking Ryiad the senior but utterly useless cricketer. Taking Tamim, Nasir, Shamsur, Razzak, Gazi who are out of form. Out of form players in the opening slot and out of form players in the middle order plus lower order players not having the will and self respect to fight and bat 50 overs. End result is 70 runs all out. If it was WI and Narine was batting with Pollard, they would not have given up as fast as we did.
