As I said I played with him a few years back when he was playing for the BD U-17 team, so can't tell surely what's his height now but at that time he was a bit shorter than me and I'm 5'8.5''. Hence, if he has not grown much in height afterwards than you're prolly right that he would be around 5'7''.

Batsmen who are shorter are traditionally better due to the more centre of gravity = more balance at the crease. Balance at the crease will also allow you to have a still head.

He is a wicket keeper, right?

How good is he taking a catch with or without gloves ?

Chele ta to valoi handsome. Fair and lovely ad e Tamim er cheye better manabe.

On a serious note, I am impressed with his AVG and SR.

I want to see hard working committed boys who will play for the team. No bragger like Tamim or Anamul should ever be brought near the team.

He's played well in all forms from u19 onwards, but in u19s his strike rate wasn't so good, he's improved on that and I think whilst he has this upward momentum is a good time to bring him in, it's been done with sabbir and soumya who really only gained a bit of consistency this season so hopefully it pays off for all of them.

It's time we start replacing the deadweights from current team. Get rid of useless players like Tamim, Riyad and start experimenting with newer talents. Soumya and Sabbir have shown potential after given chances so after the WC why not try out Liton? He deserves a chance I reckon.

No need to stop his development picking him in the national team. If we lose without him, we won't win just by taking him. So what's the point.

Used to think we have a core in tamim, mushy and shakib and we should build the batting order around them. Seems like tamim is totally out of the equation its just mushy and shakib.

Great prospect. But, for now I will keep Rony ahead of him in the ODI and Majid in the Test. But, Litton isn't far behind. Wish him all the best.

We probably will need two openers soon in all formats. KaEdge baba still in the running for one of them. So, its a four way race.

Interesting - if Rony or LKD replaces Tamim, I guess that will end of our tradition of having one Bihari opener (previous holders of the tradition are JOB Gullu, NIK, Atahar Ali, etc), and may be the start of the tradition of having two Hindu openers (with Soumya on the other end).

No racism intended. It's good to see our minorities are doing well in cricket.

I think we have always been good with our minorities in sports. With Rupu and Lusais in football and hockey and Ranjan Das, (disappointing) Kapali, Tapash et el in cricket.

Yes, it's good to see. We're heading in the right direction.
I wouldn't call Soumya and Litton minorities though because they're Bangali too.

I don't follow domestic cricket, so I haven't seen Litton play, but his stats are indeed impressive. Whether it's Litton, Rony, Shadman, or someone else, Tamim does need to make way for someone. I wonder if it'll be hard to do because of Akram.

Off-topic: Soumya looks good technically, seems professional, and has a good head on his shoulders. I never liked Shamsur or Anamul much. They fell short on all three departments. I've high hopes for Soumya.

If we find another decent opener in Litton, then all of a sudden, we're a good batting outfit with 4 good batsmen, and that makes us a much better team - a good team at home.

In addition, if Taskin develops and we find a decent finisher, that's a good team at home or abroad.

There's a decent chance that we'll be a decent team in a couple of years IMO. I never thought the same before except when we whitewashed NZ the first time.

He has done enough to warrant a Debut in all formats of the game. I think he is a prospect and a half...Looking forward to seeing him in national colors very soon. He should be given an extended run.

TIK is still considered a good prospect. He just hasn't reached his potential yet.

He's performed in all forms, great sign and imo definitely deserves a run when a top order spot opens up.
