Good to see next bunch of U19 batch are in action. Only 4 players are in (list no: 1,2, 3 and 16) from the last U19 series so alot depends on them.
Btw I think they Should have included Mosaddek Hossain. Would have got some practice.

Mosaddek won't be eligible for the WC though. They're putting in players for the 2016 U19 WC which is why Mosaddek is out

Mehedy, Joyraz and Nazmul are the only ones I know. They played in the U19 WC. Mehedy and Nazmul were highly touted by McInnes so they are our stars in this U19 team. Hope that they can live up to the promise.

U-19 Potential for future National squad
One of them is Saif Hassan. He is a right handed opening batsman, sometimes bats at #3. Also Md. Saifuddin, a medium pace bowler with a excellent off-speed and yorker capability in death overs.

Mehedi Hasan Rana is an up an coming fast bowler. He's supposed to be the one to watch from this squad.

Our batting lineup looks like a work in progress. Not surprising since this is the U19 level where players are still developing. Miraz, Joyraz and Shanto need to learn how to bat like seniors and the younger players have to earn their spots

Nahid hassan is another Left arm seamer. Don't know why Mehedy (Lefty) not playing. He was doing well in DPL.

BTW there is another Leg Spinner in this Batch. Saleh Ahmed and ONLY 17
So far he is the highest wicket taker for BD in this series (6 wickets) and also has pretty impressive List A stats. 15 wickets in 11 matches at an avg of 23.26 and econ rate of 3.75 OLD DHOS.
Nur, Jubair and now Saleh. 3 LS to keep your eye on

Finally a win. Shanto's really stepping up as a leader of the team. Mehedy is doing very well with the ball but needs to start firing with the bat. Good quickfire innings from Zakir.
Also great to see Saleh not being your typical SLA but a legspinner. Also he's already playing a role in domestics already. Let's hope he develops in to something big. Sanjit also is an offie whose playing well.
Great to see that SLAs are not dominating our bowling for once. I wish our pacers would do a bit better since we need to have some promising pacers coming up but these conditions aren't easy for the pacers so it might be hard to judge by stats as to how promising they are.

Well said. Seems like there is no SLA in this series(maybe only 1). We are benching our best pacer Mehdy (Lefty) so I'm not surprised pacers are doing not so well so far.

Good point. I think they're cycling the pacers. We do have 2 longer version matches after these OD's. So maybe they're trying to keep the pacers fresh. Bowling pace at this level is much harder on the bodies compared to the senior players.
That might not be the reason but it might be otherwise it'd be hard to see why Mehedi's not getting matches

Another 50 for Santo. 3 in 4 but he really needs to convert those. 50 for Zakir (wk bat) too. 2 in a row for him.
BD U19: 236-9/50
SL 19: 85-5/27
Sri Lanka Under-19s require another 151 runs with 5 wickets and 22.5 overs remaining

Good to see another leggy and he's taking wickets. Mehedy the offie is getting wickets as well. Zakir and shanto the batsmen that have scored.
