Default A very special Thank You to Mashrafee

I know the whole team deserves some thank you, and there is already threads for that, but I want to specially thank Mashrafee, because he may not receive that otherwise, for a bit of a different reason.

To make you understand where I'm coming from, a bit of personal tidbit is necessary. Last November, I broke my left heel bone in a very complex manner (it turned into 16 pieces). A very painful and long recovery process started since that, that if all goes well, will take about a year for me to become 100% again. That is why seeing Mash limp in the field made me clinch in pain each time I saw it. It was for me, like I was feeling the pain myself, just comparing him with my experience.

He was even after having that many bandages and braces, still giving 100% for the team. He did't shy away from responsibility either when a partnership needed to be broken. As captain, he could easily give it to someone else.

I know most will not feel it the same way as I did, because of my personal experience, but I can tell you, his efforts are special.

So, Thanks You MASH!!!

One rehab is enough for someone to quit the game. Especially when he has already accomplished everything. SEVEN? SEVEN rehabs? Are you kidding with me?

Big thank you to the real Iron man.

The man not only had all this pain to go through but he also had to bare with it while his child is not doing well in hospital back in Bangladesh, now for him to be able to do that the while playing in such a crucial match man he must have some truly incredible mental strength. Kudos to you Mash, you truly are a Bengal Tiger!!

I can relate with you Rubu bhai, I really can. I've had the exact knee (ACL) surgery in last November that Mash had SEVEN freaking times and I can assure you there can be nothing tougher than a rehab of an ACL surgery. I'm having real tough time recovering to full fitness for a normal life let alone any sporting activity and I just simply can't imagine how Mash still plays international cricket with zillions of such operations. This guy is absolutely beyond every appreciation and words are really not enough to describe his dedication and love for BD cricket!

His 2nd Spell saved the game. he was having hard time to walk, and then the intelligent 2nd spell... it was purely manufactured from will-power and intelligence...I was afraid of a massacre ... but what a surprise... it was a game changer spell.

His captaincy was outstanding today. And, as a bowler we know he is an absolute class (- the death over and that's because of his injuries).

Today he was a true Royal Bengal Tiger!

I hope he take much deserved rest against NZL. If he doesn't want to (knowing that he is true tiger), BCB management should force him to take rest in the next game.

We need him 100% fit in quarter final.

He might be facing suspension due to slow over-rate
This is such a dampener amidst all the joy

It's only the first warning. No suspension can be handed down just yet. He has to repeat the offense again to get that. How likely is that?

Well we could do something like drop him for the next match. Will give him some rest.

But sir, you can do a lot of things in life and show your dedication. But you can never be half as dedicated as Mashrafe.

Only true Born winner in the team, sure guys like Shakib are more talented and better, but when everything is going against us, Mash's will doesn't dent, lion-hearted performance from a lion-hearted man, how many times did he look like he was on his last legs, yet, when England took control he stepped up and hobbled to the crease and got us back into it.

Needs to be rested Next game, He wont pull himself out. management need to do it.
