Default Thank you BCB as well

While Papon and co get all the blame for our poor performances, i think it is fair to acknowledge that the management did some things right after a dismal 2014 to turn things around.

1. Appointment of Hathuru and Heath Streak. It was clear things were not working under SJ and players had too much control over proceedings. Hathuru came in and stamped his authority straight away, brought Shakib down to earth, instilled team discipline and that was the start of the turn around.

2. Making Mashrafi the captain. Mashrafi is an inspiring figure and his bowling changes were spot on against England. He managed the breakthroughs at crucial moments through shuffling his bowlers. This was missing entirely in 2014.

3. Changing the chief selector. Due to this we brought with us a very good group of cricketers. For the first time few of us had complaints about the team selection. Inclusion of Shabbir and Soumia were inspired choices. On a different day with different selection panel we might have gone for Kayes and Naeem.

So overall the changes worked and that is why we could turn things around so quickly since 2014. Thank you for that BCB

Good thread Jadukor bhai. BCB did something right for a change. Ain't nothin' wrong with appreciating that.

Yep the appreciation became greater after watching how ECB handled the build up of their team prior to the world cup.

Meh ... I tend to think our team wins in spite of BCB, not the other way around. Too unprofessional for them to be getting a false sense of complacency.

Sending Al Amin back home was also a good decision taken by BCB.

There are certain elements which BCB have gotten right in the past. Selecting good coaches is one of them.

I think Hathrui was an important choice to bring discpline into the team when the players were acting like a bunch of spoilt brats.

Heath Streak must have brought a mental strenght to the pace bowlers to believe in themselves. Lets not forget Ian Pont.

What they need to do from here is to get rubbish like Tamim and Animal Hawk out of the team. They need to realise when someone has lost he has lost it. Razzak stuck in the team like chewing gum for a long time before he was discarded.

I hope KaledHippoMamud, Paapon and Dhurjaa are not on an all expense paid for Casino Safari in Oz!

Why are they there when Shafi and Jubair or chief selector wasn't included??

Thanks but NO thanks to criminals! They are a bunch of robbers and corrupt goons!

Dropping players should be left to the coach and selectors rather than Papon and co.
The crucial decision BCB made was to get a coach with plenty of experience in Australia. I think the 3 pacer approach instead of stacking the side with spinners has worked wonders in terms of getting middle over breakthroughs. It also helped that the captain was a pacer himself. The last two deliveries from Rubel and especially the outswinger to broad was brilliant and my hats off to Heath Streak for making our pace attack look so organized. We really got a good coaching staff at the moment. Even Anamul's footwork looked better eventhough he didnt get runs.

Dedicated to BC's common shotru BCB:

তিনখানা দিলে একখানা রাখে, বাকি কোথা নাহি জানে;
একখানা দিলে নিমেষ ফেলিতে তিনখানা করে আনে।
যেখানে সেখানে দিবসে দুপুরে নিদ্রাটি আছে সাধা;

Agree with what Jadu said.

We need to point out / criticize where BCb makes the mistakes and praise where they are making the right decisions. Unlike their past history, this time they were not afraid to make some bold decisions and it paid off so far.

Still we really didn't get the proper explanation why Al-Amin was punished so harshly (which looks to fishy), why not fulfilled coach's wish and selected Jubair in the 1st place, etc, etc. these are all valid questions but should be asked in separate thread.

Bottom line BCB is no saint, but they deserves some kudos when they do something right.
